I usually just read the posts here but the shit (chit) talking that dreamclown and irishcurve (whoever that is) are doing (did) is ****ed up. Saying Dn is a a fish, he is horrible and that he sucks at No limit. Anyone else see that??

Just wanted to know if anyone have any funny names for hands, or do you just use the originals like 10 2 (doyle) or AK (bigslick).When i played at a casino yesterday a hand came to a show down. first player flips his cards and said "cowboys!," the other player flips his cards to show 3 of and kind and said "doesn't beat my San Francisco cowboys!" I though it was funny.

I figured I would post here. What I want to do is to have a real discussion about any of the books. Consider it a college study group for people who need to grasp the concept or certain sections. Only serious post please. If intrested just post and I will tell you what the hell i am having trouble with.

OK, i am speaking for my point of view. Most Fathers (less mothers) want their kid to be a professional athlete. My question to you is, if you have a kid, or when you do have children...are you going to bring them up playing poker???

I have a real hard time going over the top on players. Even when i have KK QQ or AA I never go over the top. And when i do get the balls to go over the top I either get called or raised all in. This is a part of the game i am having the most trouble with. Any Suggestions

Just wanted to get "a poker players view" on the steroid situation that is going on. What you think about Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire, Jason Giombi, Sammy Sosa... ANY FOOTBALL PLAYER. If Barry breaks the record (The most Sacred record in all of sports) should they honor it after he has said that he used the juice. Just want to read what any FCP member/guest thinks.

The one i see people say/write on-line is "OOPS" when they win a pot. I have also heard people say " I don' t have a pair on the board" but when they flip over the cards they have a flush. Anyone heards use lines like these?

I do not know if this topic has been covered yet, but i was wondering what kind of techniques anyone uses to over come the feeling of being on tilt. My temper goes off like a shot, and it really affects my game. Any legit help would be greatly appreciated.

This is not about "changing gears" at the table. I like to consider myself a loose player, but as of late I have style of play has gone from lose to tight... and I hate it! The reason is the past tourneys I have played I would lose to a pair one higher than myself (77 to 88, 99 to 1010 ect), plus I feel like everyone knows what I am holding before i even bet. So I am in this weird funk that I can not get out of. Any suggestions would help. Mulli

Not to sound like a "know it all" but i know that the proper raise before the flop is 3times the big blind. The part i am having trouble with is after the flop. So if the pot is 500 and i have flopped top pair...do i bet out half the pot? The whole pot? A little more than the pot? I know I want callers to get more chips, but what if the stright, flush is out on the board?The 2nd part is during the bluff? After the raise (and you did not flop anything) what is a good bet to win the pot. I figure too big of a bet and they know I am on the bluff, and too little of a bet and i will get called down

When I play in any cash game I start off great. Usually doubling my buy in with in the first hour. But then as time goes on, I swtich styles from playing very loose to very very tight! This is because I just won some money and now I don't want to lose anymore. Then before I notice what the hell happen, my stack is down to nothing. It's not from bad play "i don't think" more like I have to lay down the hand because someone caught their flush or stright. This is happening everytime! Not ever people catching the cards that is the issue, more of I'm up then I'm down. Please help.MulliAnd for all

I really need good help on this subject. What are the motions that you players go though when your in a pot, (not talking about bulffing) When you have flopped top pair and 1-2 players keep calling your bets. Or your in position and a player just best out huge, or small. Thanks
