I think I'd bet out on the river something smallish, like $20. It looks like you could have been drawing here, and your play throughout the hand could resemble a suited connector to your opponent. He will most likely just call here with Kx, and you can pay the smallish bet you wanted to see his king, or you could be value betting the best hand if he has 10s or jacks. If he raises who knows, get out, you've represented a flush and he still wants to raise!

I don't think you can put anyone on a set, but that flop is pretty ragged. I think it is quite likely someone has a set.
-
Would have played it the same, no debate here.
-
The turn raise is only good if no one has a set, in my opinion, which is a very ignorant assumption after the action on the flop. What else does the CO call 3 bets cold with after checking besides a runner runner flush draw + pair, perhaps maybe even your nut flush draw, or a set. I suppose 89 or 56 is also a feasible holding, but I don't think your turn raise has positive EV very often.

The flush couldn't have possibly won could it have? If so, what did the other players have?

If multiple players cold calling 2 bets and 3 bets is a common occurance at 2/4 PokerStars, does anyone have a bonus code? Sign me up!

You're looking bigtime in hindsight, the chances the others call after SB bets out and BB raises the turn are VERY low in most games, unless this guy knows something we don't, the raise decreases your drawing value in almost any situation. The fact that he did get more value by raising in this particular hand because the people cold called the turn behind SB/BB is irrelevant if we are looking at longterm results.
-
On the turn you're no longer cleaning up overcards, someone has a set here 80% of the time after how this hand has played out.Now you should be hoping for everyone to stay in the pot to improve your equity on hitting the flush, not forcing people out so you can lose more money 80% of the time when you do hit your top pair against a set.
-
Hero jammed on every street with some bets that its unreal no one dropped out like bet raise and hero 3 bets all in a row and someone still cold calls! You have a really bad drawing hand and raising isnt going to get a set out so you dont pickup any more outs by getting people to drop out of the hand incase the board pairs when you hit your flush. it's just awful!
-
I didn't think he'd check raise AA on the turn, damn!
-
I think it's spewage, but at the lower limits its hard to tell sometimes. He could just have AK i suppose. I don't want to look too deep into this hand, i'd rather make a guess at what he holds. My guess: KK!How'd I do?

Are we just supposed to laugh at this post and move on?
-
It's interesting, I don't think your ace outs are clean, and it's likely SB has AK and will 3 bet after you cold call, which would obviously make the call a bad one. I think it's marginal and I'd usually fold here unless I thought I could make a LOT if my straight/runner runner flush came. Depends on the players at the table i suppose.
-
maybe he open-raised from UTG with what he knew to be a marginal hand, and then when he got 3 bet he decided to play it strong enough to represent a big pair, because he wants his UTG position raises to be respected? Or, maybe he's just stupid!
-
The raise wasn't that big preflop. He has put $2 in and only has to call $4 more to try and flop a set, i'd make the same call with any of those hands you "coudn't put him on" But either way, the way this hand played out and based on his stack size, I'm calling the all-in, You could definitely have him beat and his all-in re-raise was just $21 dollars more, bringing the pot to a total of $65. You're getting a little over 3:1 on your money. If you think you're ahead more than 25% of the time, you should call.

SB had 38 offsuit, if you were wondering.

The replies on here always read way too much into the pokertracker stats. Sure maybe we can surmise something about the BB but we have only seen the CO play 20 hands, that means he has been the CO only two other times!!! How the heck would the CO know we're a TAG on the button? He's been at the table two rounds!Anyway, I agree with Screech's reply, I 3 bet preflop, the BB would have folded, and you're probably picking up this pot after the CO checks and you bet the flop. It's kind of funny to me that the CO flat calls on both the flop and the turn here with absolutely no hand

Ultimate Bet 3/6 Hold'em (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is BB with J:club:, J:heart:. 6 folds, SB calls.Flop: (4 SB) 3:diamond:, 6:heart:, 9:club: (2 players)SB bets, SB calls.Turn: (6 BB) 8:spade: (2 players)SB bets, Hero calls.River: (12 BB) T:diamond: (2 players)SB bets, Hero calls.Final Pot: 14 BBI'd like to hear what you guys think about this hand. I really dislike pots like these, I am a tight aggressive player and I generally dislike big variance hands like this. I love having jacks, and i'd actually rather be up against a raise from someone from MP etc. The SB had been relatively tight preflop, but overly aggressive trying to put moves on a couple people that i observed if it was headsup. The fact that it is just us two and he flat called and i raised preflop makes him go on a rampage. He probably thinks I am trying to outplay him, and wants to give me a taste of my own medicine. Anyways, long story short, I think I played the hand fine until the turn. I'm not sure whether I should have raised the turn. The way I figured it, I was up against 1 random hand, so it is unlikely he has 2 pair, I figured he may have top pair and an open ended on the turn with a hand like 97, and I definitely want to charge that draw. When he 3 bets I think it's quite possible that I am beat by two pair, however I think there is enough of a chance he's going crazy with top pair and a straight draw or maybe even middle pair, so I called him down. Please help, these hands seem to frustrate me a lot and I usually take breaks after them. I had been playing at the table for 1 hour and was up 2 BB with relatively low variance hands occuring. I then lost 7 BB on this hand, and felt like all the work was for nill because of one big variance hand.

Alright, many of you have seen me around for about a week or so, and I've really enjoyed both contributing my thoughts and opinions and receiving amazing feedback. I am a winning player online and I think I analyze situations well, but now it is finally time to prove my ignorance to you all. Many posts I see say that a player is x/x/x where x are numbers, I have no idea what any of these numbers mean. I also dont understand what VPIP means, and several other numbers that you guys seem to be getting. I am guessing the x/x/x for a player is being tracked using pokertracker or similar, to evaluate how loose/tight and passive/aggressive someone is, but I don't know what each number means or anything. Can someone clue me in so I stop looking like a dork? Thanks.

i think check raising the turn will scare the button from 3 betting most times, and also scare the rest of the field behind you, luckily UTG called 2 bets cold to give you some extra money, which i am surprised about, but yeah i'd lead this turn hoping the field calls and the button raises, then i 3 bet.

I'm calling the flop, folding the turn. When the SB bets out again on the turn I think that means he's got you beat. Afterall, everyone called his flop bet, and he's still betting into everyone on the turn despite the fact he could be raised by someone slow playing. Even if he doesnt ave you beat, someone could have flat called with two pair or trips, or hit two pair or trips on the turn. I hate your position in this hand acting right after the SB. With so many people behind you left to act, it's quite likely they wanted to wait til the turn for a raise, which puts you in a really bad spot since you're first to act behind the SB and so many people could be hoping to raise behind you, I fold on the turn.I don't think this is a weak tight play.SB checking the river is laughable, I am still wondering what he could have possibly had, a king maybe? What did MP have?
-
I planned to bet/call the river on a blank. The only hands that outflop me are J J and As Ks. He isn't the type of player to isolate me with KQs preflop, and isolation is hardly a valid tactic here anyway with a good amount of people behind him able to have a monster. I will now reveal that MP2 had Kc Kh, a big overplay of his hand in my opinion, he really must have thought I was betting and raising the Ace of spades, and his bet on the river is a complete spew unless he thinks I'm going to fold, which I never will. My read of him playing overpairs recklessly without paying attention to what's going on in the hand was re-enforced after being quite surprised at what he had. I took down this fairly big pot.

Ultimate Bet 2/4 Hold'em (10 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cxPreflop: Hero is MP1 with 8:club:, 8:diamond:. 3 folds, Hero calls.Flop: (7.50 SB) 8:spade:, J:spade:, 6:spade: (2 players)Hero bets, Hero calls.Turn: (7.75 BB) 5:club: (2 players)Hero bets, Hero calls.River: (11.75 BB) A:spade: (2 players)Hero checks, MP2 bets, Hero calls.Final Pot: 13.75 BBShould I be 3 betting the turn here? Im thinking he could very well have aces with the Ace of spades, which is why I would want to keep charging him. However, it is possible he flopped trip jacks, in which case im getting 4 bet, or even an As Ks and im beat already, hell I may be getting 4 bet either way if I 3 bet the turn if he doesn't have the best hand. I don't have too much background on this player again. He has re-raised me before directly after I raised preflop and acted incredibly quickly in his aggressiveness throughout the rest of the hand. I think he doesn't look at the board much or wonder about my hand with a good PP, he just bets and raises without thinking of implications with an overpair.I'm thinking 3 betting the turn may have been best in hindsight, but I am unsure about it. The worst card ever falls on the river, if he had Aces w/o the ace of spades, he's beat me, if he has kings with the king of spades, he's beat me, queens with the queen of spades, etc. However there is no possible way I am folding, so I check call the river. How's it look to you guys who don't have the hindsight i do with what he had?

Incidentally, i think you make the most with the c/c c/c b/f line according to what he had. I really like that line because it's defensive and even though you're not really sure where you're at in the hand, it keeps the pot small and I think it's a decent play. You're getting paid off the most with this line when you're good, and losing the least when you're beat. What about the line where you bet out on the flop? Or was he the type of guy that would raise your flop bet out with anything just to re-establish the lead he had preflop? If that's the case a flop bet out doesn't accomplish anything nor gain any information, but if he's not that type of guy it may also be a line to consider?
