  1. Quick thoughts on last night.

Lea was as hot and energetic as ever last night.

Sue is a gem and adds tons to the show

The scene with Kurt and his dad driving was extremely well done.

    I miss Quinn.

Too much Kitty and not enough of the lunch room lady's daughter.

    Finn was not missed.

More Nene (bronze medal for individual synchronized swimming in Chinese Olympics) brilliant!

    Proposal scene was pretty good.

    I miss Quinn

    Show still has legs.

The Beatles are worth two episodes.

    I still miss Quinn.

  2. I'm in the middle of reading The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins. I can distinctly remember being 4 or 5 years old and hearing the story of Noah's ark in Sunday school. I remember thinking "no way". You're telling me that two penguins walk all the way up from Antarctica and got on that boat? Religion and the bible ask you to believe so many things that are just rediculous. Seems the new trend is to only believe the parts that suit you.

Explain to me why a child born into a Hindu family, respected his parents, grew up to be a community leader, spent countless hours serving his community, loved his wife and kids ends up in hell. That's what is bible tells us. That is not the expected action of a benevolent being who loves everyone equally, listens to every prayer, and has a plan for everyone. Ask in pubescent girl in Africa who just had her clitoris cut off if there is a benevolent God.

Only about 33% of the world are Christians. What makes anyone think that Christians are the only ones that got it right. Hell, even the Jews don't believe that Jesus is the son of God and Jesus is a Jew! And why would God condemn the other 67%?

I grew up in a southern baptist church in the south. 99.9% of the people in this community who go to church have never once questioned what they were being told. If there is a God wouldn't he want us to question? If humans didn't question and say "what if" we would still be living in caves.

  3. Wow. I can't believe this one hasn't been mentioned yet. What an amazing show. Horror has been overdone so much that its rare to find engrossing new material. This show has it in spades. Jessica Lange is back for a second season but is playing a different character.

The show is set in an asylum as the name implies. The year is 1964. Ms. Lange. Is a sadistic nun who runs the asylum. She has a past which is just starting to come out. The cinematography is perfect as is the setting. Plenty of creepy characters. I'm hooked.

  4. FLIGHT

Denzel as a troubled airline pilot. As usual his acting was believable and engrossing. The plot drug for me in spots and some of the NTSB action/questions were a little lame. This is really a study of the effects of alcohol and drug addiction on a person and the people who care for them. Don't go expecting an action flick.

Denzel will probably win an Oscar for this but it's the kind of movie that you will enjoy just as much at home on DVD.

PS. An excellent nude scene by a beautiful Latino chick at the beginning is almost worth the price of admission by itself.

  5. The Cabin in the WoodsWow. I'm still tilted by this one. Read a lot of reviews before hand that referred to the first Halloween and the first Scream. They made it sound like this was a major step forward in the horror genre. What a crock. Nothing scary, little funny and an ending that is still hard to believe that the producers bought into. A complete waste of money redeemed only by a brief shot of some perky boobies. If you must see it wait until it ends up in the dollar bin somewhere.
