  1. I think this is all fun and games until you actually meet her in 3 weeks. It is going to be AWKWARD.I've done the "talking on the phone" "texting" "e-mails" "msn"-thing. And I clicked with many guys through that. But when I actually met them in person, it was always really awkard, because in your mind you make this image about how someone acts, moves, uses facial expressions, how someone's voice sounds, body language etc etc, but then you meet and it's like: "whow... this really IS a stranger". A picture really isn't much help. Also, the sex always disappoints, because you've had too much time to make it all perfect in your head, but in the end, it's still a stranger and first time sex with strangers is usually again.... AWKWARD.Last thing that I'll say that you won't like to hear is that you probably won't have anything to say to eichother. Because you've been talking about all the "import life questions" and all that stuff for hours and hours, agreeing and being amazed about what she says ("I was gonna say the exact same thing!!!"). But when you meet there's really not much left to talk about."("uhhmm... you look nice. Nice place this, you come here often?") :club: Trust me, it can only disappoint. I'm a girl, I speak out of experience. And if you aren't disappointed, she probably will be :ts Good luck though, let us know how it went. (by the way, if you're rich, I'm still single. I can do the long distance talking on the phone stuff being amazed about how much we think alike-thing too. Really.)

  2. I agree with Speedz99, there's nothing really "wrong" with normal pet food. I mentioned the raw food because clearly, the diet the dog is on now isn't working, and it might be worth trying. @Governator: First of all: what a cute dog! She looks very sweet.I've been told that the grains in most pet food can cause digestive issues, because it's not an "natural" thing for dogs to eat. But kibble needs carbs because without them, the kibble would fall apart (wouldn't stay compact). If you feed the dog chicken and rice, then why not try other raw meats too? Maybe you can try feeding it 50/50, so her special kibble in the morning and raw meat in the evening and see how that goes? If you're in doubt, maybe talk to the vet about it? Ofcourse, if the vet says it's too dangerous for your dog, listen to the vet ;-).

  3. Officially it's Bachelor of Science :club:. But I got it studying Criminology, yes. But it's really not very glamorous, there's hardly any jobs in that field of work. So I'm planning to go to the police academy for two years after I get my Master's, just to make sure I can get a job. (I won't be a police officer, I'd be a manager of a team of detectives :ts )

  4. My favorite whine is what comes out of your mouth when you don't get your way.KIDDING, OF COURSE!!!Sorry to hear about your friend, Fleur. Also, congrats on your BA and your feline acquisition.
I've missed you... like I miss rain on a sunny day at the beach.
  5. Sorry to hear this Fleur. May I ask what the strange circumstances were?p.s. welcome back, I've been reading your blog in your abscence and enjoy your cats.
She was found naked, only wearing a towel, lying on her bed with the doors locked from the inside. She was dead for three weeks before the police decided to force the door open and take a look (they wouldn't listen when friends said she had been gone for a week without anyone knowing where she was, they would only listen to family, but she didn't have contact with her family...).Her parents refuse to have an autopsy done and the police say it wasn't murder or anything because the doors were locked from the inside. She was 25 years old. Not sick, nothing, just did the occasional recreational drugs like most of the people our age do. Just sucks, because now we don't know what happened. Loads of people turned up at her funeral though, around 120 people. She was very loved.I've been busy with the cats too, go to catshows with the little kitten Bindi (she's a Sacred Birman). But uhm... aren't we polluting the wine thread at the moment? :club:
  6. FLEUR! You're back! I know my faith would be rewarded.. how have you been?
Not so great lately. Lost a friend (died under strange circumstances). But other than that, okay. Got my Bachelors Degree :club:
  7. You're very right. That's why I said to google on it and read a lot about it first. Dogs, other than cats, also need vegetables in their diet for example. But it's not that complicated, not more complicated than preparing a meal for yourself... you just need to get the basics right.

  8. Have you tried feeding the dog raw meat? Currently in my country it's being said that allergies and other conditions can be caused by certain ingredients in pet food/kibble.My cats get raw meat. Chicken necks, chickenbreast, and what we call "kvv" which is short for "complete fresh food". These are "sausages" made out of fresh meat in certain percentages which are considered optimal for pets (ferrets, cats and dogs). I'm sure you'll have something like that in America too.If not, you can google on "barf" which should provide you with loads of info on how to feed your dog a raw meat diet. I know many pet owners that say their animals have no more problems with diabetes, allergies, puking, being overweight, shedding too much, etc etc.I have both of my cats ensured to the full extend possible. Costs me 40 euro's a month, I can get 5K refunded per cat, per year. But dear God, I'm sure glad vet costs in my country aren't as high as yours! 1500 dollars for 3 nights at the vet hospital??? That's insane. That's a five star pet resort! But I guess it's normal overthere. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

  9. I laughed at a stranger a couple of weeks ago. I took my daughter to the park, and there was a t-ball game being played on the baseball field. We went over and watched for a couple of minutes. The bases were loaded, and a kid hit the ball. The lady standing next to me screamed for her son to run from second to third base. Her exact words were... "RUN FORREST! RUN FORREST, RUN"I couldn't help myself.

  10. So yesterday, I came back from university. I was walking home from the metro station when this guy is walking the other way, towards me. I can see him from quite far away (it's a long street). I can also see hem staring at me when he comes closer. Then, when he's about to pass me, he does the typical tough-guy-face and he attempts to spit on the ground (he probably thinks that would impress me).But suddenly the direction of the wind changes and the spit flies back and on his shirt. The look on his face was priceless. The "oh shit, but keep straight face". I couldn't help but laugh. And he must have heard it, because I just bursted into laughing. Anyone else ever laugh at strangers? :club:

  11. Best: Cheap. Close to centre of Amsterdam/metro/trainstation/highway/university. Lot's of other students (over 1000). Worst: No sun on my balcony during the day. People yelling at relatives that are in prison during the middle of the night (I live next to a prison). Fellow students throwing parties that go on until the next morning when you have a exam.

  12. Thanks for your response, you aren't so ignorant after all. Sorry Man. :club: No, I think you have the hidden agenda's (not so hidden after all I guess) pretty much nailed. It is about abortion/right to life issues. I also agree with you that it is a shame that politics gets in the way of legitimate discussion but such is the world we live in. you may find the following link interesting. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDFJOzu9SyM
There is no reason why we should not do stemcell research. NONE. And can you tell me where God ever said in the Bible that he is opposed to stemcell research? I must have missed that part.
