  1. I'm not mocking, I really wanna play. Anyone wanna do a pstars fulltilt trade?
  2. Oh hell's yeah, trade me 70 cents pstars for fulltilt so i can come to the table with a big stack
  3. I need to adapt faster to table conditions I guess.
  4. See, I was kinda thinking this but on the other hand I was wondering if 3xBB was somehow advantageous for whatever reason based on having a 100xBB stack. I'm a NL donk right now, so I appreciate the advice.
  5. That's where I'm confused. I mean I'm not technically min raising at the live game, but compared to everyone else's preflop raises it feels like my 3xBB raise is a min raise.
  6. Against a random hand, would you call an all in with KQ suited? Guy shoulda payed attention instead of just asking the guy if he looked at his cards.
  7. People need to pay attention at home games. I hate when people are looking at the dealer in the middle of the hand goin "Duh, who raised before the flop?". If you didn't answer him, the same thing would have happened. If you told him you did look at your cards and that you had pocket aces, he probably wouldn't believe you and still called.
  8. Trying to pick up NL, some of you seem to do ok, need advice.Let's say that online my preflop raise is always 3xBB in NL ring games. I could probably vary it a little depending on position or how the others are playing, but just trying to learn the game I'm comfortable with a 3xBB raise. Now I find myself at a live game where every preflop raise is anywhere from 5-10xBB. If I continue my 3xBB raises how does this effect the game, and will I lose anything or gain anything by raising this amount when people are willing to call a much higher preflop raise?
  9. Cool, Oppenheim just sat with Dags. Gonna be a good match, and foxwoods has been gone for awhile.Chat is funny, people will never let Dags live down that Hoyt encounter.Foxwoods is back in chat. He'll never let that E-Dog hand go."Drj26: edog played liek a fing moron in the 200k and shattered m dreams"
  10. hahahahahhaaha, glad to see he's not faking his personality just for us.
  11. If he does reraise, is $50 appropriate with Jacks? Someone before him, meaning early or early/middle position raised, and he reraises more than 3 times the initial raise with Jacks. This can't be right can it?Am I weak in wanting to flat call in middle position with Jacks? If so can you explain?
  12. And it being the first hand you have no idea if he's bluffing, correct? So the better play would have been a smaller continuation bet? Against a guy you've never seen play a hand before, maybe $30-$40?
  13. So after betting that much on the flop should he go ahead and call the raise then?
  14. This is from ryancpotts blog. You will be sitting at the table in late-middle position and you will be dealt J-J on your very first hand. Nice. For anyone interested in learning the best methods of losing all your money as quickly as possible, remember this hand. J-J works perfectly almost every time.Someone before you will raise to $15 and you will then re-raise to $50. Everyone else at the table will fold, and the original raiser will call your re-raise. Aren’t you excited? The flop will come: Q 10 10 Your opponent will check to you and you should bet out for $100 to try to take it down right
  15. No dude, haven't you been reading? Only a professional WPT champion could even possibly dream of making that call.
  16. Here's a picture of Scott FischmanHere's a picture of the character Rocky Dennis from the Cher movie Mask.
  17. That's funny, I've decided to give up cigarettes, like today. Weird. I'm sure you'll save more money than me breaking your habit though.
  18. That sounds ok. Yeah maybe I can check out that 1/2 game in a couple of weeks (I know I can find 1/2 games online easy, but live play is fun)
  19. Honest question from a sng donk. I remember maybe a year or more ago the poker forums were filled with a "aim for first place" theory in sngs, with the thought being a bunch of first and seconds would make up for bubbling out in the longrun. Does anyone else remember this? I swear I used to see this all over poker forums a year or two ago.But now all the advice seems to be to make the money 1st, and worry about the win after that. When did this become the popular theory and does everyone aggree with this?
  20. You may have read before that I recently moved to FL which has some weird no more than $2 max bet law except at Indian places or something. I'm in the Jacksonville area so I don't think there's any Indian places around here, just 1/2 limit rooms at the dogtracks, no thanks.I did hear something about higher NL games on "the boat" though. Because it's so many miles off-shore they don't have to follow the 1/2 law or something? Anyone ever play on one of these gambling boats in the Florida area, or know of something in the North Florida area?
