  1. your getting just under 4 to 1 to call. I think I call here
  2. I don't think a pot sized bet oop with a pair of 2's is standard. he has $2 left you def shoveand as far as the turn, you check then call .25 after betting pot on the flop? If you really think you have the best hand raise him, and if you don't think you do, you don't have the math to call I dont see how you can think your ahead he bets .25 into 1.50 after you bet pot on the flop, and he called. The .25 looks like he wants a call. Also its possible none of your outs are good.I don't like the play on the flop or the turn. Though leading the river is fine, and then shovehow is he a random
  3. he called a pot sized bet with 5 outs going to the turn? thats not profitable, and on the turn hes getting 7 to one, to make an 8 to 1 call. If your gonna argue implied odds to justify either call then when you hit your dream out I dont see how your not shoving, esp with his stack
  4. the call pre flop is okwhy are you check raising here? and if your going to check raise i think the amound is to smalland you def fold to the shove. unless you think your ace is good. then you can call, but i think thats a pretty bold assumption. I call his bet here, and re evaluate the turn
  5. so you play 2 7 ? then call two bets with bottom pair? river trips and your asking for advice now? if your going this far with it, shove for his last $2
  6. Value bet the river for sure. I think you bet to much though. I think half pot to three quarter pot at most. hes not checking if he hit trips or caught a boat. You have shown no aggression in the hand at all, he has no reason to think you will bet and he can check raise you. I think a half pot bet gets a call by a 10 pocket jacks or queens.
  7. He obv could have floated you with ax here but Im really not giving him credit for an 8 or 55. Im check calling. If you bet hes folding all hands you beat, by checking I think he will bet as he did, and im calling and check calling river. Im showing this down, and I am not ever reraising the turn, and im not a huge fan of shoving the river as only better hands call, I dont think your getting ax to fold to a river shove, but somthing like AJ suited could check behind and save you some of your stack
  8. I just worry aboout the sb check here. your still 3 way at this point, thats the only reason I feel like I could get away from this hand. Again though I think you have to reraise the flop.ps Do u go to uwl? I lived in la crosse on 10th one summer
  9. Im not sure who youur talking to here.I didnt play the flop at allI never don't re raise the flop
  10. ok. I guess I do seem to do that to often on here Acid. Im really not tight at all. Also once im in a bad spot I dont have a problem folding with only 15 of my money in the pot. I think that you reraise the flop 100% of the time here. Its not that I am always giving people credit for the nuts, its that most of my play is live, and a great deal of it is read dependent. After you screw up the flop on this hand, I think its time to get away from it here. But after looking over some of my posts, i do see how you could make that statment. Also with no knowlege of said players, and with the flo
  11. again if he has the set i dont have the math to callim 25% to hit the flush and him not make a boatim really more asking about the bet on the flopI agree with your friend, however I dont play $560 buy in tourn's every night, so perhaps that some how effected my decision at the time. Though I really doubt it did. Its deff not a snap call though. We had around 90-100 players left, its not like if I won the hand I could coast in. I guess for you guys saying its a snap call, you like the flop bet then? or you prefer a shove? Do we gain any info if villan just calls? what if he calls and sho
  12. No i dont think you really can fold if you re raise him and he pushes the rest as royal said what you have left is not much at all at that point.
  13. if your not re raising the flop and bigyes i foldwhat do you disagre with in my post? I think this is an easy fold after the poor flop play.
  14. I don't 3 bet 10s out of small blind against someone I don't have a real solid read on. That said I dont think its a bad play, just not one I like. Your going to see overs on the flop, and unless you think he is going to fold, in which case having the 10s really doesnt matter, you can do it with any 2. I like the check call on the flop as well. I see most players lead out here. But if you do, for how much 15? Then what are you gonna do on the turn? make another pot size bet? then your playing oop with a marginal hand and betting with out any real info. I like how you played it
  15. Im not really asking if I should have called. I agree that I probally should have. I still do not see it as a snap call by any means. This is a live tourn which to me plays much diff than online. The buy in is fairly hi I think, and this effects the play imo. It seems to play tighter and as a sat I think I see far less shoves. I also feel that 10bb was enough that I could still play if I folded. I had an ultra tight image, I think I could have stolen a few pots and stayed live (which is what I did) I really gave him credit for the set. Which I think is a huge mistake, and with the se
  16. foldI like his over bet here. If you have 88 fine he paid you, but if he can get you to call with a hand like he did and get paid, its really a greay play. I just read an article on card player by a online pro about mixing in over bets. I think he knows its very unlikley you turned a straight. But he knows its deff possible you have qq or ak with a flush draw. I am interested what the rest of you think of his play? I really like the villans line here.
