  1. Well, I said yesterday the unreal final table would be:1. Daniel Negreanu2. Tom Dwan3. Dario Minieri4. Mike Matusow5. Scotty Nguyen6. Gus HansenNow only Hansen and Dwan left. I can only dream...Out of the field so far, I would want:1. Tom Dwan2. Gus Hansen3. JC Tran4. Amir Vahedi5. Andrew Black6. Carlos Mortensen, I guess

  2. No chance, Dan is gone.Calls all in with 78? Are you kidding me? What a garbage hand for Daniel to lose to. I'm sure they will put the details on Card Player live updates, and I look forward to a great blog analysis by Daniel.Well played, made the money, excellent result. Clearly played extremely well to still kick ass with a short stack after getting coolered so many times. Always got smahed by a bad beat or cold deck, then played well to get back up. Couldn't get away from bad cards and bad players.

  3. Sick read by the one poster. You had 88... I had 99...and Galfond had AK! Well played today you freaking nut case!!!
Well done today Daniel, very swingy but nice work.As this point in the tournament, would you estimate your chances of FTing as being much higher if you had, say, 250k instead of 150k?
  4. If what they are doing is making you shove and play shocking poker and ultimately making them win, why would they stop doing it? Seems to me like you lack patience. Grind it, take their chips, be agressive.
It's posts like these that make me have faith in a forum designed to discuss poker. If you have genuine advice, such as this, then I welcome it. It's not just me, it's every single player here or 2+2 that makes a thread either A: not at high stakes or B: not adhering to each individual reader's idea of a "perfect' play, then it's time to reply and be a douchebag about it. And, of course, make checkboxes with lame remarks.I'm not a high stakes player, I know that. I don't care. I'm a donk. I suck. It seems every player who replies was born an amazing player, and with thousands of dollars to play high stakes online. Good for you.therescav proves that a somewhat reasonable response can be made, but I have never, ever encountered any forums on any topic as completely inaccessible as poker forums. Everywhere else you get into pointless internet arguments, but poker forums are immediate dismissal if you aren't a high stakes player. It's pretty insulting to the game, when every online poker player I have encountered is a condescending elitist tard.. Besides, shouldn't you all be encouraging me to play more? It's my money you want, so why turn me off a game I'm shit at?
  5. So I'm sitting there in a $2 heads-up SNG. Massive stakes. This is a general scenario, not describing one event in particular.I'm holding 8 2, 7 3, J 4 or some such garbage in the BB. Small blind folds, instead of calling 10 chips (out of say, 1500 starting stack).Yawn. Next hand, fold. Next hand, fold.I get the shits and shove, get beaten. Whatever. So do good players actually fold any hand heads-up at such miniscule blinds? Am I supposed to respect their intelligent play for not calling with a lousy hand?

  6. 3rd in chips out of 140 remaining.EDIT: Chipleader with 13k, second place 9k.EDIT: 22 players remain, I'm chipleader with over 50k, second place has 26k.EDIT: Final 5, chipleader with 120k.EDIT: Dang. Hit by a few bad hands, last one was a cooler. AQ plus two other cards on the board, all clubs. I have the Jack of clubs, the only card that can beat me is the King of clubs. He had it :(Third place for $85.68 cash. Thanks for the stake MJINK3, PM sent.

  7. Perhaps in another world, you were the most eloquent man to ever grace a consortium of intellectuals. Indeed, in today's modern society, intelligence and perhaps chivalry has taken a step down in favour of conformity and the overall quest for the almighty dollar. You, good sir, rise above all such stereotypes. Perhaps not only as the kindest poker player to have ever lived, but also as the most generous and honest humanitarian to ever grace this Earth. I am in awe.

  8. So I won the 400 FPP satellite, and this morning woke up at 5am to play in the 4000 FPP Main Event qualifier. Pretty much my biggest tournament ever, I was pretty pumped.Three places win a WSOP seat, and after 6 hours there is still 21 players remaining out of 499. I'm not one of them :)In fact, I placed 290th. Still, I think I played well and was happy with a two hour long game. I'll post a few notable hands, starting with the grandaddy!Bleh, since my HH is screwing around, here's what happened:[Kc 2c Jd Qd] [Kd]*** SHOW DOWN ***DrRZG: shows [Td Ad] (a Royal Flush)Evastian: shows [3d 5d] (a flush, King high)DrRZG collected 7645 from potOuch! At my lowest point, I was down to 325 chips out of a starting stack of 5000. I then proceeded to build it up to 9300 (a damn good effort), but after that it all went pear-shaped.I would ask for advice about how I played this one:*** HOLE CARDS ***Dealt to Evastian [4s Qs]coachm66: calls 150sk bidderman: foldsChicago Coop: foldsChairmanLin: folds Evastian: raises 450 to 600MJK_888: folds BigSauls: folds DrRZG: folds morgant111: folds coachm66: calls 450*** FLOP *** [9h Qc 4c]coachm66: checks Evastian: bets 450coachm66: calls 450*** TURN *** [9h Qc 4c] [Td]coachm66: checks Evastian: bets 1050coachm66: raises 2350 to 3400Evastian: folds coachm66 collected 4425 from potI raised pre-flop because the table was very tight, and naturally if I don't hit the flop I would fold to a raise. However, I hit the flop nicely, but I simply could not call the turn - The only hand I could beat would be AQ really. I suspected KJ, though any set, or higher two pair has me crushed. If he was slowplaying KK or AA, that sucks.I did have a good time, though. Probably the closest I'll ever get to the Main Event. GL to all who qualify!

  9. More like Phil Hellmuth decided to go public saying that I was supposedly doing a cameo.
I only received the email about it from Google poker alerts this morning...did you call Phil and tell him you were finished, so he assumed he could then blab about it?
