never really liked the idea of sats for some reason, maybe cuz you have to win and im a top 3 kinda guy.
had some FPPs tho and went for one and snagged a seat.hope to see some FCPers in there. -
i was looking for that for some reading action, thanks zach.ended up getting my pocket aces popped when someone shoved me all-in preflop and they caught they're set of kings. certainly can't be mad about that.

i don't loosen up but whenever we're in the bottom third of people left and i've seen all those bad hands i'm not sure to loosen up with marginal or stay tight and ride it out. i usually switch depending on mood (rarely a good idea) so it's usually 50/50.suggestions/ideas/fun philosophies?? i don't think it's a directly boredom-so-just-take-a-walk situation.... just curious.***course i just got ace-queen off and flopped a set with a raiser to double up.... lol...

used up all reserves to pay off school bills/tuition and a snowboarding trip to CO.... sooooo, im going back to the freerolls to start up from scratch again. the goal being to get a little from nothing without wasting too much time.worked last year.

played at a local casino game for the first time in awhile, being home for the holidays and all. was running slow, pretty soft table with a lot of ridiculous donk-esque action, but a fun group of kids.lost an all in to a smaller stack with my pocket 10s to his queens. that'll happen. 5 hands later i had kings, caught a set on the flop and with 4 hearts on the board the guy who had an ace on the flop won with his 10 of hearts.rebought and rallied to even, but for awhile i was thinking we should drop the whole suit thing.....

i'm not sure who said it but..."playing to get in the money is a losing strategy. play to win."or something like that. i try to remember that when it's bubble time.
i know that doesn't help answer, but something to roll around in your head if you have a bead on a player. -
I use that in the HORSE games to even out losing in others but I think just the effort put into learning a game like that deserves mention... cool stuff and way to go!Learned Razz (grrrrr)

poker-wise i popped my first royal online and got to screen-cap it for bragging rights, paid off my car with winnings, and just had a fun time.non poker-wise... well... i did pay an indian girl to sleep with buckeye hughes.....

turn your focus on something else.... certainly not away from the table, but like some said check "tells" or betting patterns or any of that stuff.

the place i play at occassionally is still relatively new, just threw in the tables a year or so ago after it boomed a bit. no tech, just 2 decks counted down every time a new dealer sits in. a little slow, but never problems like that. bummer
