Two key tie breakers that had an impact, in one case a HUGE impact. Canadian Gothic and The Big M's both tied with 24 points. The season series tied 2-2 and Canadian Gothic wins the +/- battle 61 to 50.5. BUUUUUT One of the wins Gothic had against The Big M's came in OT, which means in the head to head The Big M's had 5 points, Canadian Gothic 4 points, which trumps the +/- total. This is HUGE because it means Canadian Gothic will not get a chance to win the Lemieux once again, as they are eliminated from the playoffs.

The other tie breaker occurred between Ingmen and Broadway, both tied with the same record, but Ingmen beats out Broadway 55.5 to 54.5 in +/ and will get the benefit of home ice advantage in their first round series:

BYES: Whalers, Magically Delicious, Winning Combination, Mustangs

Winning Combination 3 vs Cheap Thieves 3.5
Mustangs 3.5 vs Screamin' Eagles 1
    Broadway 2 vs Ingmen 1.5

    Lemiuex:

This is far from over going into the last game! Whalers hold a 2 point lead over Shortstackers for the bye, while Canadian Gothic and The Big M's sit tied with 22 points for the last playoff spot. The Big M's will take on the Shortstackers while Canadian Gothic gets the PK Dealers.

    Yzerman:

Not much to see here as Magically Delicious will get the bye and all thats left to play for is home ice between Underdogs and PK Dealers. Underdogs would need a win over Scarborough Shooters coupled with a loss for PK Dealers to Canadian Gothic.

    Bonk:

Absolutely no playoff ramifications here. It's Winning Combination getting the bye, and awaiting the winner of Greaseballs (Home Ice) and Puck Warfare.

    Bonsignore:

Mustangs, the only team in the division with a winning record have clinched the bye, while Ingmen and Broadway will jockey for home ice in the first rounnd. Broadway gets Red Ravens, Ingmen get the Mustangs.

Biggest Riser: Whalers up 6 spots

Biggest Fall: Red Ravens down 5 spots

  12. Game 19 Dec 14:
Canadian Gothic 1 vs Shortstackers 1.5
    Whalers 6 vs The Big M's 1.5
Shoot Loose 1 OT WIN vs Magically Delicious 1
Underdogs 0 vs PK Dealers 4.5
Swackers -2 vs Scarborough Shooters 4
    Ravens 3 vs Steelheads 0.5
Winning Combination 3.5 vs Greaseballs 0
Puck Warfare 5 vs Screamin' Eagles 0
    Mustangs 0 vs Broadway 4.5
Cheap Thieves 1 vs Ingmen 2.5

    Lemieux:

Whalers look to be a lock to win the top spot in the division (they play Swackers next) sitting 4 points ahead of two teams. I haven't checked tiebreakers, so not sure if its possible for either Canadian Gothic or Shortstackers to nab that spot. In the meantime, those two will vie for home ice in round one. The Big M's are not dead yet, of course, as they sit two points out of a playoff spot. The M's and Shortstackers face off in the last game of the season and it could be for a playoff berth.

    Yzerman:

Magically Delicious have opened up a 3 point lead with 4 to play over two teams, the PK Dealers and Underdogs who sit tied at 22 points. Scarborough Shooters sit 4 points back of these two teams, but play both in the next two games. If they win both, and PK and Dogs lose both, they could be in a 3-way tiebreaker situation for a playoff spot.

    Bonk:

The playoff picture in the Bonk looks set, with Winning Combination locking up the bye, and most likely Greaseballs hosting Puck Warfare. Red Ravens have officially been eliminated and will have another shot in the Bonk next year,

    Bonsignore:

This is another spot where the playoff picture looks clear. Mustangs hold a 3 point lead for the bye, Ingmen 2 points ahead of Broadway. Screamin' Eagles would need to win both of their remaining games and see Broadway lose both to steal that last spot. Cheap Thieves will be in the Bonsignore again next season, with a better shot at success.

Broadway 0 vs Screamin' Eagles 5

    Lemieux:

In the Game of the Night the Whalers are victorious over Canadian Gothic and sit atop the division alone in first place. The real battle in the elite division is between The Big M's and the Shortstackers for the final playoff spot as they are tied with 20 points.

    Yzerman:

Magically Delicious holds a 2 point lead over Underdogs, who hold a 2 point leader over PK Dealers, while all three seemed primed to make the playoffs unless Scarborough Shooters can run the board, and even if they do, they would need some help.

    Bonk:

Winning Combination is back to their winning ways amassing 31 points with three to play. 5 points back are the Greaseballs, and another 5 points back are Puck Warfare who hold down the last playoff spot in the division. Red Ravens would need to run the board to make the playoffs, while also seeing Puck Warfare lose each of their last 3 games.

    Bonsignore:

Mustangs are close to clinching a first round bye with a 5 point cushion over Ingmen. Broadway holds a slim one point lead over the Screamin' Eagles as they took matters into their own hands last night, trouncing Broadway 5-0.

    Greaseballs 4.5 vs Mustangs 1
Cheap Thieves 3 OT WIN vs Broadway 3
Screamin' Eagles 0 vs Ingmen 2.5

    Lemiuex:

Whalers and Gothic pulling away at the top with 22 points, while Shortstackers and The Big M's are tied for the last playoff spot. Shoot Loose is both eliminated from the playoffs and also guaranteed to be relegated to the Yzerman next season.

    Yzerman:

Magically Delicious sits on top with 22 points, while The Underdogs and PK Dealers sit tied with 20 in second and third respectively.  Shooters have work to do as they sit 4 points out of a playoff spot. Swackers have been eliminated from the playoffs, but could avoid relegation if they win all 4 of the remaining games, with the Shooters losing all 4. See you in the Bonk Swackers.

    Bonk:

In the upset of the year the Steelheads pull off an overtime win over Winning Combination, who despite being an impressive 14-2-1 now sit just 3 points back of the surging Greaseballs. Puck Warfare won the "game of the night" against the Red Ravens earning them a 3 point cushion for the last playoff spot. Steelheads have been eliminated from the playoffs and essentially locked up a spot in the Bonsignore next season, needing to win the last 4 with Ravens losing all 4 to put it to a tiebreaker.

    Bonsignore:

The Mustangs lose in inter-division play which pulls the Ingmen to within 3 points of the top spot. Right behind them is Broadway who earned an important point in an OTL vs the Cheap Thieves last night. The Screamin' Eagles and Cheap Thieves sit tied at 12 points, 3 points out of a playoff berth with 4 games to play.

  19. Game 16 Dec 7:
Shoot Loose 5 vs Whalers 5 OT WIN
    Shortstackers 5.5 vs The Big M's 3
Canadian Gothic 2.5 vs Swackers 1
Underdogs 3.5 vs Magically Delicious 5
PK Dealers -1.5 vs Scarborough Shooters 4.5
Puck Warfare 4 vs Winning Combination 1
    Steelheads 1.5 vs Greaseballs 3
Red Ravens 2 vs Cheap Thieves 7
Mustangs 0 vs Screamin' Eagles 0 TIE
    Broadway 1.5 vs Ingmen 1

    Lemieux:

A tie at the top between Whalers and Canadian Gothic with 5 games to play. Just two points behind that group sit the Shortstackers, with The Big M's currently sitting outside a playoff spot but safe from relegation as Shoot Loose would need to make up an 8 point deficit to avoid relegation

    Yzerman:

Another tie at the top at 10-6 between the Underdogs and Magically Delicious who were built for Champions League. PK Dealers and Scarborough Shooters sit with 18 and 16 points respectively, which looks identical to the point totals from the Lemieux division.  At the bottom, the Swackers who sit 7 points behind and will likely be relegated to the Bonk.

    Bonk:

The Winning Combination streak comes to an end, but still they sit at an impressive 14-2 and are the first team to lock up a playoff berth. The Greaseballs are also tearing it up and now sit just 4 points back of the top spot. Puck Warfare holds a slim one point lead on the Red Ravens for the last playoff spot in the Bonk, while Steelheads sit 10 points back and have essentially guaranteed a spot in the Bonsignore next season.

    Bonsignore:

The Mustangs remain the only team in the division with a winning record and they have a 5 point cushion for the first round bye over the Ingmen. Broadway have crawled back from a terrible start and now sit just one point behind the Ingmen for home ice in the first round, and two points ahead of the Screamin' Eagles who sit just outside a playoff spot. At the bottom, we have the Cheap Thieves who scored an impressive inter-division win over the Red Ravens with their highest score of the season, winning 7-2. There is no relegation, and they sit 4 points out of a playoff spot with 5 to play.

Champions League will take a one week hiatus with 6 games remaining on the schedule. Let's take a deeper dive look at each division:

    Lemieux

The elite division is by far the most closely contested with four teams that could all land between winning the division and missing the playoffs. Shoot Loose is all but assured relegation, sitting 9 points out of 4th with just 6 games remaining. Whalers and Canadian Gothic are both tied atop the division with 18 points, but right on their heels are both the Shortstackers and The Big M's with 16 points. This one will likely come down to the wire with playoff implications coming down to the very last week.

    Yzerman

Once again, we have a tie at the top with both the Underdogs and PK Dealers sitting pretty at a clean 10-5. Magically Delicious are not too far behind at 9-6 with a comfortable cushion in a playoff spot over the Scarborough Shooters who sit just below .500 with 14 points. Swackers look to be the odd team out destined for relegation sitting 5 points back.

    Bonk

Huge separation in this division with two formidable teams at the top, Winning Combination blowing away the competition looking to post the greatest Champions League season of all time as they move to 14-1. Greaseballs, at 10-3-2 would be sitting pretty at the top of every other division with that record, but they will have to settle for the #2 seed unless WC falters down the stretch and they go on a run. The real race in this division is between Red Ravens and Puck Warfare for the last playoff spot. Currently the Red Ravens have a slim one point lead with 6 games to play. At the bottom of the Bonk, Steelheads sit 9 points back and will all but certainly be relegated to the bottom feeder division next season, the Bonsignore.

    Bonsignore

The Mustangs have lost two straight but still boast the only above .500 record in the division and look to be in good shape to get a first round bye sitting 6 points ahead of second place Ingmen. After a horrid 0-5 start, the preseason favorite in this division, Broadway have reeled off a few straight wins and currently hold down the final playoff spot at 6-9. Screamin' Eagles continue to fall and are now one point back of a playoff spot. There is no place to relegate in the Bonsignore outside of the Mexican league, and that's where the Cheap Thieves may be headed next season. They currently sit 4 points out of a playoff spot with 6 games to play.
