  1. Those are legit, but AhKh is not, and I think Sheiky was after FD-only in his range.
  2. Instapush.Actually, no mather what he has here, he doesnt seem all that competent. Unless youre an extreme NIT or something and he is drawing heavy.
  3. Could you possibly fold if he pushes for the rest? Because that seems a bit wierd, given the potodds we are about to recieve. But yeah, lets say he had QK. What would he do? Obviously he has to follow up on the turn when we only call. If he is not really strange. And if he is really strange then AK with toppair is a 100% go. So yeah, raise the flop and go brooke or fold the flop and wait for another spot. But then, if youre commited to go brooke and a QK or similair seems likely.. Maybe a call / push on turn is even better.
  4. Its very standard. Doesnt mean its that great of a standard really. However, I didnt mean to say that he did something wrong preflop. What I meant was that you really want more money in preflop to go wild with AK as its rarely becomes a monster to go brooke with in a small pot.
  5. But the question is: was this a good time to get passive? I think not. First, because DN is such a good player, its easy to justify his every move with "things that only makes sense to him". But thats simply not right. Every player makes bad plays. DN is probably the player who I´ve learned the most from and who I respect the most, but I have seen him make bad plays none the less. This hand isnt a huge misstake, but I still disagree with the apoach. So, we are going to limp SB with Q8o. Then, what do we expect? Do we expect to win the money already in the middle >1/7 times? Might be fair od
  6. Actually, when I was a bit more fresh I´d complete that SB every time. I kept reading that I shouldnt, but thought I was getting too good value to fold. Now a days I would only do it if im up against really bad players. If someone is likely to give me his stack with QK on Q8x, then yes, lets see a flop. But then, if im up against really bad players I´d often even raise it concidering I woudnt respect the limpers and I would like to enhance my metagame in the process. My problem is not that I coudnt lay down a monster. I´ve thrown away far better hands than that whenever my opponents range dict
  7. As you dont raise very much preflop its a tough spot. Try to get more money in there so you can go brooke on a good flop.On the flop you are actually about 55% vs 45% against this range:TT,66,AKs,KTs,QJs,AKo,KTo,QJo,QKo,QKs.So if he is a creative player its not that bad.On the turn you are down to 23%. So, assuming he is not a real asshat you should obviously fold the turn. Im wondering whether or not its wise to just call his raise on the flop though. Myself, I´d probably crank it upp more pre and happily get the rest in on the flop.
  8. Actually, thats probably a call.Thing is you cant call the flop and fold the turn. The money is too good, and hands like A8, or even 8x is all over his range here if he is loose. If he thinks he has you beat on the flop, he is not going to slow down on the overcard when you check.
  9. Thats a raise or - of course much more often - a fold. Dont limp with trash in SB. Worse, dont limp trash in SB and get passive on a great flop. Thats just mathematics gone really wrong. As for the river, I definatly like the fold. Against a random player I think you did the right move.
  10. You are probably ahead the whole hand, but I like the way you played it actually. No real reason to get in to deep with that flop. Sure, he might minraise you with a draw but in this case I´d probably let him have his freecards and keep the pot small. The smaller the pot is, the less likely it is for him to extract $ from you later in the hand if he happened to have hit a monster. If he did, he played it really bad on the flop though.
  11. I would, as its a flop where most low/mid players would bust with AK.
  12. Problem is, here you´re talking like you have a great read on the villian and if thats the case its really only you that can decide wether or not the play was correct. Reading this like a random HH to me screams of a big leak; to commit half your stack on a decent flop for an overpair and then folding it with confidence when he comes over the top. I just cant see how that would be profitable in a cash game. I mean.. You bet, he raises, you reraise, he rererais and you fold. Even though you dont have a deep stack. Thats pretty much a standard line for a total bluff, not aces. If you decide to r
  13. Problem is, if you bet it even a random moron will put you on some kind of pocket. They might not believe you have a K, but the flop has pretty much no texture at all wich allways gives the aggressor a certain amount of respect and everyone gladly folds and waits for the next hand.I´d check it on that limit with so many PF-callers. Might even check it to the river and get tricky there instead in case no one has attacked the pot yet. Example of a possible outcome:Turn is an X, but river lands an A. Its checked around to you, and you make a tiny bet. Someone minraise you (with his "slowplayed" r
  14. Tough spot, but I´d fold it without a great read. Flop is too ugly. Simply to many hands has you in bad shape. He might be trying to protect a 78, 8T, a set, a straight... And what else is there? He could have ATspades, in wich case you are slithtly behind anyway. AKs spades and you are pretty much 50/50. 89....If I senced we had some real history I might shove, otherwise, I fold.
