I just took down my first Step 2. I am still working with my initial Step 1 buy in of 7.50.I would call for a rail but I am a little intimidated having people watch me play.

If he just said raise I think he would be on the hook for the 16. It would be a raise in the dark. Seeing as he said make it 12 I dont think he is committed to a raise to 16. I dont know?

I think I would rather just play a heads up match and get it done with. It would get really old playing down to top 5 in a 10 man sng. You would also have to dodge more bad plays then a heads up match.

I took down the first Step 1 I played tonight. It would be sweet if I could win a package for $7.50.I was pretty much a cardrack so I am not getting my hopes up too high.

Anybody know what happens if you hold a ticket to lets say Step 3 at the end of the satellite period? Do you get credit for the cash value or are you S.O.L.

I wasn't implying that he was ducking anybody. I just wanted to see him fight sooner than it has been. I think its a mistake to wait this long just to tape a show very few people watch. If Serra fights 3 months after his title and wins again it would do more for the UFC ppv numbers than listening to him call Hughes a dick every week on TUF. I want to see him fight not coach.Do you honestly believe he was ducking people. It makes little sense to destroy a big money fight to risk Serra in a random defense against any schmo. it's booking 101, the goal of the promotion is to make as much money as possible, and if teh build up to a money fight takes longer, the better. It's sheer stupidity to risk losing out on that kind of money if he were to lose to someone other then St. Pierre or Hughes -

IL law say you cant play a game of skill for money (or thing of value) but it happen every day. Game of pool, chess a lot of game of skill are allowed. You can spend all you money on lotto tickets but you cant wager it on a skill game of poker. Also they say you can play a game of skill for money but that done every days as well. You can go online legally and play $100 game of chess, you and your 10 year old son can enter a $400 chess tournament and they say no game of skill can be wager on or it Gambling. So you can gamble on the lotto and play a game of skill for money, but not poker. With all the robberies and prohibition that happening I just want to say good luck to all the poker player as we try to find a way to play the game we love

I am not at all religious but there seems to be some conflict between gambling and Christianity. Wouldn't gambling fall under coveting? I covet every big pot I see! If people want interprete the scriptures for themself I am down with that. Its better then blindly following somebody else's interpretations.I dont want to start another religious debate just getting my veiw point out their.This has been covered many times, but nowhere in The Bible does it forbid Gambling. I think that there is conflict between certain preachers (or whomever is interpreting the Scripture) and Gambling. I am not a religious man (at least not how most people define it) - but don't see any DIRECT conflict between gambling and religion. -
Somehow they forgot that the God they are praying for a double up is the same God that has a little problem with gambling. Jerry Yang believes God allowed him to win so he can do good with the money, but I am sure it was the guy with horns and pitchfork.

10K or 25K it will still be full of people who won their seat playing super satellites for $5 or something.The 50K HORSE is the main event now even if the WSOP or ESPN wont acknowledge it.People can still satellite into the HORSE event but the skill of a well rounded pro will crush them pretty easily.Keep the 10k NL, but have a 25k NL and call that the "main event". It's a joke now. -
