  1. This is sometimes where pot odds can screw you...because there is so much money in the pot youa re almost forced to call, although it is a crying call to make....the more people in the pot, the better odds for you to call, but the better odds you are beat
  2. i dont like the pre-flop call...but sometimes you have to play your suited connectors...and anyone who cant fold like that you have to bust with a hand you know you are winning with....Possibly checking the flop to control the pot size to see a free card on the turn would be best bet here always. If you check the flop, and you miss on the turn the action will be small enough for you to see one more card.
  3. i do see a little daniel in myself...and i didnt see a possible straight, i knew he had the straight by the betting pattern...i folded a set in my home game for 10 dollars into a 40 dollar pot because i knew he had the flush. If i am unsure, i will call for odds...when im sure, im sure
  4. eyank, this is a prime example of not controlling the pot and not taking a good hand to the river by playing small ball...if you check your set, or even just make a small bet the second jack comes and you are able to make a read on the guy and most likely will get awy from it
  5. yup, just as i predicted and as usually i am right. As far as being the kid of poker, I am...and lumps...i only take beats when someone catches a cooler against me or sucks out. As far as everyone who paid this guy off because he was a big blind (stupidest thing ive ever heard) i feel bad for you. This is an easy lay down for me and most of your replies prove what daniel says when he says that current internet players are robotic. I still cant believe I am the only one who saw a definite straight here. Because he is int he blind makes him more likely to have A3 or 3, 6.Discussion over..
  6. andy bloch is a redneck...milfhunter and daniel are both canadians
  7. and look how much longer you have been a member...ill pass you tonight lol
  8. Does anyone else notice how much daniel looks like the milf hunter? I swear they could be brothers
  9. 7 dollars in the pot after the flop and a 2 dollar call to see the turn with the nut flush draw, and more than likely see a free river card if the short stack player is all in. If you hit, you win a big pot, if you dont you get away only losing 2 dollars to win 7
  10. with a hand like that, i often like to raise out of position to get the weak hands to fold...anyone with a good hand will re-raise and you can get out or just smooth call...I definitely like the strength shown. When you hit your draw, it is a disguised flush and you will most likely get paid off...fold it and move on to the next hand.
  11. depends...i usually know wether ot not im having a good day, and if i am feeling as if my flush draw will hit i will get the value aspect out of this hand and look for another spade. The min-raiser either has top pair and is trying to get a feeling as to who is drawing and a spade or an A will win the pot against him, or he is on a flush draw himself.I would definitely pay to see another card with the quick willingness to get away from it on the turn if you miss. Who knows you might even get to see a free river.
  12. in a cash game, your main goal is to get paid off....If you are a smart player, your goal is to win 1 big hand per hour and you will profit. You have to only play when you raise pre-flop, and dont be afriad to make some continuation bets or bet with your suited connectors...you want the loose image, but you want to present that image when the time is right so when you do have JJ and the flop is K, J, 2...somoene with the king is definitely going to push on you if you continuation bet, and usually push hard. Boom, all your loose image play pays you off. You dont want players to know you will on
  13. I kind of feel bad about this...my friend was playing in a big tournament...he was in a 3 dollar re-buy and was in the final 19, 18th place got an extra 40 bucks or something and first place was over 6,000. He was playing tight all tournament and came up with QQ on the button. A very aggressive player who was all in 5-6 times pre-flop to steal blinds and double up through luck made a standard raise of 3x the blinds. He raised to 150,000 and had 2.5 mill remaining, and my friend had a little over 1,000,000. He wanted to go all in pre-flop which is pretty standard, but I told him to smooth call
