The bet on the river was of course a value bet, I wanted to tempt him into calling with the bottom end of his range, like 7s and Ts. I think it's pretty weak to raise the flop "for information". He will fold alot of hands that could have given you more value for your hand. And how much is the information really worth against an unknown?Of course, if you *always* raise people who leads into you, you should raise here aswell.

Yeah, you probably have to pay him off here. Flat-calling is not an option if the stacks are what were mentioned above. He will pay you off most of the time with a jack here also.

Doesn't really matter what you already have invested. That money is sunken, it's the pot-odds that matters. But still, you can't fold now, 5,5:1 to play for the rest of your money if called on turn.

Raise more pf, especially OOP. Shove the flop. You will probably get action from (99, TT sometimes,) a J and a spade-draw.

What pos are you in? I know you said EP, but you say you lead out on the flop. You mean after his check right?

Your range is only wider if your opponents don't reraise, but if you end up OOP in a 3+way pot, your AA or KK have virtually turned into 72 on many flops.When you get your desired result - a raise from LP after a couple of limpers - your hand will be face up once you re-pop it.

If you do some math on it, you will see that the table needs to be pretty damn aggressive for limp reraising to be a good move. So I wouldn't do it 98% of the time.

I almost never open-limp, so this is a move I don't really make at all. Seems to be a bad play with aces and kings also, in an agressive game you are more likely to get value from your hand by raising.Also, when playing aganist compotent opponents: If you do this with aces or kings, you have to do it with other hands as well.

Pretty easy c/c if your read is correct. You are ~75% favorite over a random hand here.I would never open shove on the flop with this read. I don't think a player who raises ATC preflop will fold top pair in this spot.

Of course you raise AKs on the button preflop. What else are you suppose to do? It's wise to check behind on the flop against these players. Take the "free" card on the turn. No point in raising when you have the NFD and he makes a $0.25 bet into a $5.50 pot. You don't want to blow of a weaker FD.The way this hand played out, I think we have to felt it on the river. We often see a smaller flush here. Sometimes he has a FH, but, if so, he played it horrible.

I'll raise that flop. I don't mind taking it down right here. As played: Depends on the villain. Against an aggressive villain I would try to check-raise, hoping for a second barrel. Against a passive player I would bet around 3/4 the pot.

OK. Your opponents play way too loose, this probably indicates that they ain't strong players. Therefore you probably have an advantage in post-flop play. Punish them. Buy in for the maximum, so you have lots of room to outplay them. Try to float their c-bets more often, see if they will second barrel. Play almost strictly positional poker. I know it is hard to sit around waiting for good hands in a slow homegame. It would probably be profitable long-term though.

It's possible, but I don't see the point. There are very few draws on the flop. And a raise will probably cost the more than a call on both flop and turn. And he will rarely fire again without an ace. ( + the fact that we still got SB behind us).

I just felt like he was more likely to give me all his chips if he shoved rather than calling. I will confirm that he's that kind of player once I reveal his hole cards.
