If you're playing against someone you know you obv time bank any time you can or just even chop it after the trny is over if they are a friend or go by chip equity when they timed out. I think you start with X amount of chips and bet X per "round" of blackjack. A round is when each player receives a hand. Just like a normal blackjack game but you have tournament chips instead of cash chips. At the end of X amount of rounds the person with the most chips wins. I'm not positive, but I believe that is how it works.
