  1. For sure, obviously a person can't just blindly follow this math, but I think having the understanding of the math is something that can improve my 3bet play in pos.on a naked King high flop. AA,KK,AK,KQ hit, thats 48 combos48/144 = 33% or they should fold 67% of the time without jumping to another meta level.
  2. Here is an idea of what I am looking to do for a variety of flop textures.77,88,99,TT,JJ,QQ,KK,AA = 48AT,AJ,AQ,AK = 6478s,89,9T,JTs = 16KQ = 16144 total combosAT+ and AA = 70 combos70/144 = 48.61% of his range hits an Ace on the flopSo on a naked Ace high flop he has to fold to a raise 51.39%Taking the standard situationOpen $8 from BTNBB 3bets to $26.BTN CallsPOT = 53Flop = A26 rainbow.BB Cbets $36.You can raise to $80-$90 and turn a profit. i.e Risk $85 to win $89-rake: 85/(85+89) = They must fold 48.85% to break even - rakeWhat is the actual rake online?
  3. What would be the range then in your opinion?6 combos of pairs right?
  4. I agree you can never have something definitive, but I would like to get a best effort range put together to bounce some calcs off.So77+AT+78s-JTsKQWhat about those middle broadway hands QJs KJo or suited? Do you find this flat call or fold, rather than 3bet?
  5. For those who play 200NL. What do you believe to be the normal 3betting range from the blinds for a TAG Regular against a person who's steal percentage is 30%ish?22+AJ+78s-JTsWhat have you seen in respects to QJ KJ hands? What about single gappers J9s?

  7. Played two donkaments today. I'm amazed every time at the level of play, simply amazing. For $200, you think you would get some clue.Cashed in the Sunday Million and more importantly advanced in the Playboy Golf satellite.
  8. Its not horrible against a fish. Lots of bad players simply play fit or fold in 3bet pots, but if the guy is half way decent this is a scary flop to cbet. It murders his range.
  9. Pretty swingy day. I'm looking forward to double VPP days ending.
  10. This made me laugh. God bless photoshop.http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showthread.php?t=191589
  11. So you would have preferred to be a 2/4 player before you started the business or quit your day job?
  12. Are you happy with your decision to play poker full time? What did you do before and when did you quit?
  13. What is your daily/weekly routine? If I played full time I would plan to put in 3-4 2 hour sessions 5-6 days a week.
  14. I'm starting to remember what it's like to play poker as a normal person. Very odd to win a few flips and have the other guy miss some draws once in a while.June
  15. In my opinion yes, its 3bet/fold. OOP is zero fun.
  16. KJsNot sure if a flat call in the best line on that board oop.
  17. Where can I find the average number of tables I play and my true hourly rate in PT? I can't find it on any of the tabs.
  18. I would rethink your logic.Say you have a player 3betting an overly wide range from the blinds against your late position opens.4betting will result in a shove or a fold a vast majority of the time. Therefore it is better to 4bet bluff with garbage like A Rag than something like 89s. As you stated 89s flops better, therefore you should be more inclined to flat the 3bet in pos with this hand than push the action preflop with a 4bet. By making a correctly sized 4bet you can turn a profit by bluffing preflop in position against most TAGs and fold to a shove. It's completely profitable as an isola
  19. I think it's pretty obvious that he didn't 4bet A rag preflop for value.
  20. I know you just posted this b/c of the fun two out turn, but is this your standard 4bet size? You should be making it around 28 - 30BB. You get the same benefit of a larger 4bet with less risk. Obviously some situations dictate different amounts. There are some good threads in the 2+2 sticky that go over all the logic and math.
  21. Being out of position blows, not too many options here. You have to 3bet his min raise, and you only have like 60BB behind after your turn bet. So its a shove. The other option (which I think is worse) is to flat and then lead shove the river. If he has a real hand behind that raise, he is calling a shove on the turn. If he folds to the shove he is folding on the river as well, but the turn shove can get called by a draw, therefore making it the best option. The min raise by a nit reg is very odd. If he folds I would note that he will min raise bluff. Players like this will make these horrible b
