  1. I have been playing cards for a long time now, and the more I play and the better I have become steaming becomes a large factor in my game. I tend to play great until sometimes I run into someone hitting a lucky card and I just begin to steam. What is the best way to not steam and become on tilt. Are there any methods that you use to practice on a table after a bad beat?
  2. My most profitable position is usually on the button. Due to my agressive style, I have won the majority of my pots with a raise on the button pre flop and following it up with a raise on the flop if I sense weakness. But, UTG is great for me also, because in a good game people will realize that you are only going to play stronger hands out of position.
  3. Well, that is a good question. In cash games in which I would like to appear agressive so I can bet for value when I hit great flops, I like to stack my chips up slightly unorganized. But in bigger games where I would like to have the persona as a player who only plays with the goods, I tend to stack my chips up neatly and while keeping the higher valued chips out of view.
  4. Yea, it was pretty awful. The same old lady sat at the 3/6 table and called me down every time with nothing, hardly a draw. The blinds were 5/5 and I should of realized how lucky I was to have made that much money and got up. But like the gentlemen from New York said, hindsight is 20/20. Those guys that play there buy in for a large amount and sit on it, it's a tough table to crack. But, if you go in and put the screws to them post flop with a big couple of whole cards, you can get some chips. And the reason why I won a big hand was a lovely eight outer on the turn. Seat 1 - 55 Me - 8s9s
  5. I just finished reading, "Poker Wisdom from a Champion," by Doyle Brunson. I picked it up a few days late and maybe what happened to me next wouldn't of happened. So, I'm a student at the University of Alabama. I take home 250-600 bucks a week in home cash games throughout campus. My ego has been pretty big for the past 3 years and I just turned 21. So of course, where do you think I went? Harrahs in New Orleans. I went with my girlfriend, she wanted to spend one day with all of the girls and I wanted to spend one day in the poker room. Everything worked out great. I started out play
