  1. Now I live in Atlanta and all my friends including my lovely wife went to UGA. They are all super excited for this yr. I know not to talk shit to them I'm just out numbered and GA fans are the worst at taking it so personal. UGA is good this year but they remind me so much of Auburn in 2003. Ranked #1 and all the hype and then lose the first game to USC who was number 1 in the other poll. They went on to go like 8-4 or maybe 7-5. It wasn't till the next yr they went 13-0 and got jipped out of Nat champ(okla was a joke). I see the same thing for UGA stafford will be better next yr and moreno will be back. Plus their schedule is just WAY TO TOUGH. Plus I hate them.

  2. Watch this movie before going to LA. Everybody wiggle your phalanges!!187.jpg
I rem seeing this in the theatre and being so excited to go see it. Then flat utter dissapoitment as it was one of the worst made movies I've ever seen.
  3. There are actually some nice places to live right in West Hollywood. I have several friends who live in the area just north or south of Santa Monica Blvd. The commercial part of the neighborhood is obviously very gay, but if that doesn't bother you there are some great streets to live on in that part of town. I live in Venice Beach and wouldn't live anywhere else in the city. For me, being near the ocean is most important, and Venice has a very artistic, open, wacky vibe that I love. Takes about 45m to get to west hollywood though.
obv I would love to live near the water. But, being in a new city spending as much time with the family will be the most important thing. So the less in the car the better. Thanks for the help.
  4. Glendale is a fine choice, though you'll mainly be taking surface streets to work. If you work in W. Hollywood, I don't see you taking the 5 at all, even if you choose Pasadena where you'll most likely take the 110, which is a really fun stretch of freeway.
I def want to stay off Hgwys if possible. Thank you guys for all you help.
  5. I would say either Burbank, Studio City or Sherman Oaks would be your best options. The San Fernando Valley, otherwise known as "The Valley" would be a less expensive but not as nice. Rent should cost you something like $1,200 -$1,700 for a 2 bedroom apartment. If you want something really nice I used to live in a complex called "The Summit" in Woodland hills (about 15 minutes west of the 405). These are really upscale townhouses that is gated with 24 hours guards, swimming pools, workout gyms, tennis courts, putting greens, running track. Rent will cost you between $2,000 - $2,500 depending on location within the complex and options. A lot of "B list" or up and coming celebrities live or have lived there before.www.summitatwarnercenter.com/
thanks this helps. Those places are nice, I will definetly look into them. So no Glendale. We heard good things but then again I've never lived there.
  6. I remember replying to your first topic, but I don't remember if you plan on renting or buying. Are you renting or buying and what is your budget? How important is being close to a Casino / Card Club?Do you have kids? If so, how old?
We will be renting for the first yr. Being near the casino is not that important, I will not mind the drive on the weekends. It's more important not to have a huge commute. I have a 2 yr old. I will be working in West hollywood. Inbetween the 101 and the 5 if Im looking at it right.
  7. Change your mind before it's too late. Don't go!
Cant do it. Big oppurtunity to work on a major TV show. Just can't turn it down. Just wanted some decent advice on where to live.
  8. So I made this thread a few months back asking for advice about where to live in LA when me my wife and our 2 yr old moved. Well that got put on hold but it looks like now it's gonna happen. So I need a lil advice from u LA area people. I'm gonna be working in West Hollywood about 3 miles from the 5? It near the end of hollywood blvd. I think thats right. So I was wondering the best place to live so I won't sit in to much traffic. Maybe south Glendale or South Pasadena(maybe to far) are these areas nice. Any advice would be great.

  9. Kelly Kim is a really nice guy and a solid cash game player. I play a lot with him in the LA area, especially at The Bike Pot Limit and and bigger NL games. He's mostly a regular in mix games that are $50-$100 to $200-$400. I'm really happy for him even though he's the short stack.
who is that playing on titan....is that you?
  10. From what I heard. He still owns a big piece but, doesn't want to have anything to do with it. I think he owns Pokernews also or at least a big stake(I could be wrong). But, he has some of his cronies helping NWP. He still from what I can figure owns a good bit of it.That site is pretty weird.
