Started playing .02/.04LHE then worked my way up to $1 then started playing .01/.02NLHE and got up to around $7 then bought in for $5 in .05/.10NLHE and am currently at $20.

If I'm getting this right, you're putting up 500 and your backer is putting up another 500 for 200NL. Playing 200NL at the casino 500 alone is plenty of money to make a profit. I.E. Some casinos only allow a max of $100 for 1/2 blinds. Even if you buy in for the full 200 and go broke you can just buy in for 100 three more times. Plus the 200NL games at casinos are pretty soft so it shouldn't be hard to pull a profit with just 500 in your pocket. It's probably unlikely you'll even use the backer's 500. IMO
