  1. I prefer repopping this preflop, but I don't hate the flat call, especially if you say he's really tight. If you're going to flat call OOP like that, I think it's better to C/R him on the flop. You have the nuts, you want to blow up the pot as fast as possible.I don't think the river is a snap call. Without stats, it's tough, but if you say he's really tight, that isolates his range. The only thing you're realistically beating here is AQ. I can't really think of what you beat here, unless you think he's capable of raising 75s from early position.I probably timebank and call this, but I'm not li

  3. I really hate hands like this. I'm ok with the raise preflop. Maybe I'm a nit, but I think i might try to find a better spot. I'm trying to think what he would call with if we shove - occasionally K9 and 56. I don't know...maybe I shove...I have to think about it more. This sucks. I think I fold it, but it's interesting that you have the A of hearts. I think this is more often a flush and much less often 98 or 10-QQs.
  4. Made my own session recording to one-up James.http://www.megaupload.com/?d=44NY73FBI also suck at poker.
  5. I bet like 4 on the turn, and if he calls I'd probably c/f the river.
  6. Thanks, I enjoyed it. I don't know how you can play these stakes. For whatever reason, every time I've played 10NL I just can't win. What program do you use for recording? Maybe I'll give it a shot.--------------9:30AJ vs 10s. I think you played it fine - I play it the same. Betting the turn is OK. It depends on the villain.14:02You should raise A10 UTG 6 handed.14:3198 suited. This depends on your style, but I think raising UTG is a very good play. If the table is much more aggressive and more prone to 3-bet then I'd either not raise and/or leave the table.14:40The Q7 suited reraise is weird.
  7. Villain is 17/8/55 over 65 hands. 8. How do we know that you knew it?Are you one of those kids who sits by in class, then, after someone says the answer to the question, you scream out, "I WAS ABOUT TO SAY THAT"?I don't think you knew, sir.
  9. Yeah I think you're right. River bet would have been good.Edit: I obv folded, but he claimed he had KK. I just laughed and told him I had a king. He said, "But not AK, right. Otherwise you would have called?" Not sure if that gives any insight into what he had. Do you think a set of 8's could check the turn? I'm pretty sure he had 10s after I folded, but meh...
  10. Confused about this one, villain is 17/16/68 over 250 hands.I usually bet this flop obviously, but I thought he might bet trying to get me off a pair under kings. Is the flop check just bad? 11. Just fold.Or, shove if you know the spade is coming. He has an A though.
  12. I prefer a check on the river to induce a bet from a missed draw.
  13. Somehow my database got screwed up, but I'm up ~$350 this month playing 25NL.I'll probably jump in here with some 25NL / 50NL hands when I get a chance.
  14. You really shouldn't say things like that. Against bad players, they might make a call out of frustration, but generally when someone says, "Just fold" or "Hurry up", etc. they usually have something close to the nuts.
  15. He's certainly not wrong. I don't think it was necessary to attack him for an accurate statement.
  16. I've been using Poker Copilot for about a month, but I've never used PT. Are they comparable or is one significantly better than the other?
  17. You picked that? Couldn't you pick some cool operator? Like..say.. the Laplace Transform?I'm definitely not religious myself, nor do I believe in God, but I still find it fun to think of him existing. Maybe I should have asked: "Pretend God is real and you were able to meet with him for 15 minutes, what would you say?"I mean, let's pretend that you were able to ride a light beam... Hmm, I guess that's not possible so we shouldn't even think about it...
  18. You're forgetting about the other elements of game theory that apply to poker. Such as position, bet sizing, statistics, etc.If you don't use math (and I mean factoring in all these elements), then your decisions boil down to: well I just feel like he is bluffing. The math allows you to make smart decisions, not perfect ones.
  19. Well he's certainly not just bluffing. Semi-bluff at best. It could either be a better A with a diamond or a flopped flush. I doubt he would do this with just the K of diamonds.I fold preflop.Hmm. You have about $8 left and he has about $5.50 after the reraise with ~$1.75 in the pot. You can't really call this, because you're going to fold if a diamond hits and you're going to check the turn (most likely). Either he's drawing to a diamond and he's going to check the turn too, or you're going to have to call a bet OOP. With no reads, and based on his stack, I shove and hope that he has Ax with
