  1. It was a joke mesiuer. We actually like visiting France and only got treated like crap by the service people once last time. We get treated like crap just about everywhere here. :club:
And I loved visiting US and Canada, being treated real nice. But don't worry, foreigners are not the only ones treated like crap in France. It's just the general situation as it is now which makes people angry and disrespectful towards the others.Sorry for your joke : I understand English quite well, but not everytime. I guess I have to improve it... :D
Table/game selection and not getting too fancy are the keys to a winning session. And yea, you will find the same sort of game situtation you had over here for sure.
Really disappointing. But I thought the players were better in LA or Vegas : is it only because the stakes are higher than everywhere else ?
  2. Maybe you saw the exact same hand (AcKd) on another table, but held by an opponent seated in the same spot as you were on this particular table (in a showdown for example). Looking back at your table a few seconds later, you thought you had those cards because the configuration looked exactly the same for you...

  3. Well your friend must be a really good player, if he won 20 000£ in 4 months !! :D I'm pretty confident in my future winnings in this casino, because the only time in the 4 I went there where I lost 150€ was in a very unlucky way : flop was 722, I was holding A2o (called from the cutoff because everyone limped), bet the flop, was raised by BB, I reraised him all-in, he called, showing 10 2o (yep, some players love to brag by playing the Brunson, even if they lose almost every time with it). I let you guess the turn card... :D Wouldn't have been for this stupid 10, I would have won money this time too...Well, doesn't matter, as you say : "they were only ever winning their own money back..." :club:

  4. someone buys in for €100 or so at the 4/8 table and calls every bet every single street, regardless of his hand, until the stack is gone (sometimes building up amazing profits before busting).
Ok, happened at least 20 times to the donks at my table in my 7-hour session of wednesday night.I still can't believe it : even if in the future I make a lot of money, I won't give it all for free on a poker table !!Some crazy dude was even talking about writing books about poker because he was so goooood... had to rebuy 3 times in an half-hour for 300 €. :club:
  5. way to make the mobnies! IM only 20 so i can't really tell u much about the casinos in the US but i am sure they are jam packed full of donks as well
I'm 21, turning 22 at the end of the month. The majority is at 18 years-old here. :D "mobnies" <=== :D Sry for my lack of vocab... :club:
  6. First of all, not a brag post !! :D I know a lot of members here make a lot more every day, and I've only been playing for 5 months now, so I'm not bragging about anything here.I've just turned 160 € into 1200 € in a French casino, and I've also made 600 € out of 250 € last week-end. I've only been 4 times in a casino, and I have a 1100 € positive balance. It was a 2/4 € table, 100€ minimum buy-in.I'd like to have some info about this : it seems to me that a lot of players in this casino (except for my friends, me, and a few other guys) play like they don't care at all about their money... :club: For instance, my friend, holding AJs (not a great hand, but he was short stack all night long), was sent home by 52o, the guy hit his 2... :D Some guy called another guy's all-in, worth 250 € with KJo... hit quad K's against his opponent pocket A's. :) Can't remember about other plays made these nights, but those were not the worst... :D There are a lot of rich old guys here, playing like real donkeys (much worse than on the internet), and rebuying 250 € or 500 € every hour or so.Btw, I'm not complaining about them. The more they play like donks, the more money I make !! :D I never buy more than once in the evening, and never for more than 150-200€. I play a very tight and agressive game there, in this "Supra-loose" pool of players. I'm not pretending to be a very good player, I just make a few good reads in live poker (that's why I don't play online poker anymore, can't analyse the table as well). I'm hoping to go there once a week, and make 1000 - 2000 € per month. It would be a very nice "side-money" for me (I'm still a student for now).So I'd like to know if it's quite the same in the US, or in other countries : are there a lot of donkeys in the casino, playing like they don't care AT ALL about losing a lot of money every night ??

  7. Not to mention if this is going on around the world, even easier for Bourne... he speaks fluent French, Russian, Dutch, German, Italian, English, Spanish and other eastern languages. Jack only knows some Spanish and Russian. Oh and lets not forget, that the Chinese would randomly pop in and mess up Jack's day.
Bourne n'arrive pas à la cheville de Jack Bauer : il se ferait tuer en moins de deux secondes, que ce soit un combat à mains nues ou armé.And Jack doesn't need to speak other languages : wherever you're from, he'll get the information he needs. :D :D :lol:PS : Hey I speak 2 languages too !! :club: Can I work for the CTU and get a green card please ? :D :D
  8. hi, how's things?What's your job?
Well actually, I never do this sort of things (staying up all night or very late) when I'm working the next day.I'm doing a 16-weeks internship in France. I've finished the work I've been hired to do, and I only have my "Internship report" to write right now.But feeling as I feel now(really really tired), I will NEVER do it again, for sure. :club: I need my 6 hours sleep. But coffee is starting to make its effect, it seems.YIPEEE !! :D
  9. Wow guys I'm at work right now (it's 09:45 AM here). We've played poker all night with a groupe of friends, from 21h to 07h...I'm exhausted, and my eyes are automatically closing up. I don't think I've already been so tired while being at work.I'm leaving in 3 hours, I won't be able to stay awake until the end of the day.I wish I had called in sick today !!! :club::D

  10. Hi again everyone.Well I've asked my school about the internship, and they want us to spend 1 day per week in the company from October to March, before working at full time for 4 straight months... :club: (Such a stupid system I can't even understand how they came up with this. :D )So it's impossible for me to get the internship in the US, I have to stay here for a while, until September 2008.But I still want to come here next year and work in this country.(It gives me a little more time to get a green card though)So I know there's little hope someone will help me here, but who knows...If anyone is interested, or is working in a company looking for young workers in the Information Technology or Computer Science field, please contact me for more info. I'm really willing to live in the US, and can't see myself staying in France.PS : Please don't hijack this thread, it's really important to me. :D
