Gooooooooooood luck in this one !!Hope you'll make a good result.Enjoy your stay in Barcelona, Spain is a beautiful country.

Wow. Americans really need to get laid a little more.I would say that approximately 30% of the women on the beach didn’t bother to wear tops and it wasn’t weird or anything. I think it only gets weird when a few geeky Americans drool and take pictures of all the boobies.

Jet lag problem ?? Anyway, hope you'll be luckier in your next tournaments.Man those Pokernews guys sure screwed up those updates! It's true that I'm out, but man, they got every hand wrong, lol. Anyway, I was exhausted in this thing. I haven't really eaten much food and I woke up at 3:00am for a 2:00pm tournament. Couldn't get my schedule on right and also had trouble taking it seriously early on.

Could a transatlantic flight be included in the $200 buy-in ?Nope ?Bummer.

I cry every night because he's not single. My girlfriend doesn't understand. And yeah : we believe poker isn't a game of luck because we all love DN.At last, someone here who doesn't have a mancrush on DN and can see sense.
Alina,You realize that greg raymer is a much better player than DN because he won the main event.Every few months, he gets bitter at poker.

One tourney with 6,000+ players ==> Yes, you have to get lucky to win it, but also can't win it without at least some skill.150 tourneys with an average 100 players ==> Luck isn't as much involved as it is in ONE.1) You concede in one tourney it is a game of luck. So playing 100 of them just means 100 games of luck ergo it is a game of luck.
I wish I was lucky enough to play like DN or Ivey. But I guess I'm just unlucky.End of thread for me, obviously you're not looking for answers or opinions here, only stating your point of view. Before anyone says some people make a living from it, well some people are just lucky.
Would like to have DN's opinion about that, though.

ON ONE SINGLE UNIQUE ONLY EVENT, YES !!!Nha come on, you MUST be kidding now...Ergo it is a game of luck?
no ?

I think you've not understood the issue here...Poker is NOT a game of luck in the most part, because if you play the way you should play, you'll only face tough spots once in a while. But in a tournament where thousands of players can take a seat, obviously, you'll have to get lucky many times.Try flipping a coin 3 times in a row : you might be able to win the 3 times, getting "a little" lucky. Now keep going for 3 hours... you won't guess the right side every time.Same problem if you want to access the ME final table : too many times you'll need to get lucky. But over a lifetime, if you win lots of tournaments, and make a lot of profit in cash games, well then you've played well, and avoided tough spots as much as you could have.

Sry man.Here's what I look like :

Allina you should keep searching the internet, I think DN has made some very suspicious statements about the fairness in Wii sport tournaments. Apparently there are too many lucky donkeys playing on the bowling part of this game. He finds it too hard to win, and thinks the Wii prices should be higher. (about $10,000 to $20,000)
+1Please don't post anymore. -
Not judging anything, just telling I'm against death penalty.I think you should really not judge the American system until you fix your own.
Punishments... seriously, man, we're not in the 19th century anymore. There are laws, and prisoners are treated humanely. And I doubt that prisoners are treated better in US prisons, especially when your president rejects the human rights to be applied in some of them. (Guantanamo)But this is not the point here, and I don't want to argue about which country has the better system, because I like both equally. The French penal system is known for it's punishments, not its reabilitation record.
They should settle this in a HU match.Besides, Vick would destroy DN in a fight. -
Nothing funny here... What are you guys laughing about ??OHHH SNAP IT JUST GOT FUNNY AGAIN!!!!!
The guy just said that he was playing almost twent.... Oh wait, I see it now.

We have a very high taxes level here... And yes, it pays to keep our criminals in jail too.But if it can prevent them to commit other crimes, I'm ready to pay for it.I can't pay taxes knowing it would pay for a lethal injection, event if it would be 1,000 times cheaper than paying to keep the same guy in a cell for the rest of his life. But I understand people who are pro-death penalty. In YOUR country, are the average folks working their arse off to keep these convicted people up in a jail with free room and board, college studies, cable TV, not working lazy good for nothing.........damn! Just to think a portion of my taxes is going to go to keeping Vick up while I slave away at my JOB!And I'm not real sure why I need 12 people to explain to me why Vick might or might not be quilty?!? He owned the house where this was ALLOWED to happen so if he wasn't part of it, he should have been keeping closer dibs on his home security system. -
There was a first trial, and then an appeal. So they might have been in trouble. In your example the death penalty is administered after the trial(a trial in which they were aquitted)so my answer would be no 10 people would not have been killed.
They were innocent. Only accused by members of the organizations. And the truth seemed hard to find because the children told things that were not easy to interpret and clarify, leading the media to think each family was a part of this crime.Really a hard trial...Also were they INNOCENT or found NOT GUILTY? There is a big difference. If they were 100% INNOCENT there should be a big media blitz and get that out to the public(I know this would only happen in a perfect world).
I think the trial should happen real soon after the accusation (within a month), and the people accused should be arrested and placed in specific places, but not jails. So they're not confronted to real criminals if it's later revealed that they're in fact innocents. It might be a detention center, but they should not be thrown in a cell. But what do I know, I didn't do any law studies. My only problem with the INNOCENT until proven GUILTY crowd is if you really believe this then every person awaiting trial for ANYTHING should be released back into society with absolutely no restrictions to live in your(& I don't mean yours literally) neighborhood to await the trial.
PS : If you happen to be a judge one day, please don't release criminals in my (and I mean mine literally) neighborhood.

Lets look at these situations....-one player raises and another player re-raises. This is an easy all in for you right? ==> All-in, after 30 sec of thinking, to make the other players think I may have 10's or J's (the second raiser may have J's or Q's and would be able to call you)-a solid experienced player raises and it's folded to you. Call? Raise? The flop comes King-10-9 with two hearts and the player bets strong do we want to keep the pot small or what do we want to do. ==> I never (unless if the SB calls my BB reluctantly) slowplay Aces. So reraise pre-flop. Tough spot on the flop. I may raise big if I sense that the player totally missed or is on a draw, but mostly call and see what the turn brings. (If you've got a big read on your opponent, you might be scared of a set of 10's or K's here)

Playing a live session of 2/4 € no limit at a local casino.Guys here play like real donkeys, are absolutely clueless about poker.
Some guy raise 20 € preflop, and is reraised all in for about 200 € by a man holding pocket Aces. After 2 minutes going into the tank, the first raiser calls, saying : "I have to call, I can't throw this hand away..." and flips over KJo...Obviously : KxK on the flop, and followed by another K on the turn, giving the moron quad K's.
I didn't say a thing, but was really laughing inside, especially when the winner told about 3 minutes after the hand : "You understand, I HAVE to call with this hand.", and almost all the table agreed. Can't wait to get back there !!

TELL ME WHERE THE GODDAMN BOMB IS !!Sorry, a huge fan of 24 couldn't let this go unnoticed.A little Jack Bauer-esque maybe.
No mail for this neighborhood today, and a multi-pieces mailman puzzle burried in a wasteland. But that's why I'm happy that there is no death penalty in my country, and the "eye for eye" statement isn't a law.Even if IMHO, some criminals deserve it, I'm deeply convinced that it provides no good to the victim's families or the public, other than a revenge feeling.I think it's mainly a political argument, because most of the US people are pro-death penalty.I understood it was only a "first-thought" reaction. And I would have the same against Vick, liking animals a lot too. But I also think, even if it could be naïve or ignorant, that the public and media should not throw rocks at accused people too quickly.A fast example (happened in north of France 4 or 5 years ago) : a few families were accused of having participated in a global pedophile network with their own children, and all the media were really quick to blame them and point their fingers at them. After several months of trial, many of them were then found innocent, but their reputation was made, and their life were destroyed. What could have happened then if the death penalty was allowed here ? Would ten people have been killed, just because the media and public pressure (even based only on accusations, not on facts) was very high ? Can't say now.But a judiciary system was put in place in every civilized country, and I think we should all (even if we know the outcome of a trial at 99.99%) let it make its job without creating any kind of pressure. (Although I don't think a poker player blog or forum would have any influence at all, I'm mainly talking about media and mass-public opinion here)Your daughter has been raped and some evidence points towards the mailman. You aren't even sure if it was the mailman, but that's your prime suspect. Ask yourself the following: what do you honestly believe your first reaction would be? The reaction that you feel before even thinking about the fact that it's not necessarily the mailman? Be honest. -
GG man, very nice cash !!

Is this mail real ??
If that's the case, first of all, I didn't know that Annie Duke needed her big brother to help her against people flaming her. Then, maybe it wasn't the best way to say it, but MAN is she a dumb and arrogant player !!
The many times I've seen her on shows like Poker After Dark, or in the televised parts of WSOP, she was always bragging : "Yeah he tells everyone I've lost 20k against him that night, but it's not true, in fact HE lost it to me !!" or pointing out some stupid move by one of her opponents...She should learn how to play poker at the level she wants to play, instead of talking sh**.And don't come and tell me she won the TOC...Having top/top against top/lower kicker at least 4 or 5 times, even against Hellmuth, can lead you to win this title.PS : Yeah I can't stand the woman.

Happy Birthday !
