  3. wow, thanks, great post and very informative. I've watched some higher stake $100/$200 and noticed how different the game is, a lot more complexity to it, unfortunately my bankroll can't handle anything higher than .5/1 atm. I'll keep at it though
  4. Played a 6-max $5 mtt on stars, I was at this guys table for most of tourney, about 107 hands, he ran 65/8/.9 , total calling station, but the best part was the chat, there where like 2-3 other mildly retarded people hamming it up with this guy, here's some of my favorite hands, unconverted to preserve the priceless chat. 5. first hand in this tourney, already seen some pretty standard donkey stuff, KQ shoveling into AA and complaining about how much he loses with KQ on pokerstars, lol.Villian was 80/20, so I put him on some paint, was pretty surprised when he turned over his cards, wasn't terribly surprised at the turn. Oh well, load up the next one.ps i probably should have raised 99 in position, but I knew i'd get more callers then I wanted, was pretty much just looking to spike a set here and take someone off thier stack, also the 300 was a value bet, I was fairly certain i was ahead of everyone.PokerStars No-
  6. Sometimes I just don't understand 2-7, are the swings suppose to be this bad when you're playing tight aggressive? I'll either burn through $20 losing to draws, or missing my good draws, or I'll quickly make 10-20 BB, but I always play the same way. Whats the advantage of a skilled player over a a bunch of donks? I know that the edge in Hold 'em is a lot smaller then the edge in say Stud, where a skilled player will dominate a n00b much more often then in hold 'em. Where does 2-7 stand in there? I'm not claiming to be a skilled 2-7 player, but at these stakes on stars there's a lot of people
  7. I hardly have any tournament omaha experiance apart from the O in HORSE, and I'm starting to realize that potting with the nuts high or lo, but not the other, is a good move since you can push out a weak high/lo that you'd have to split with, but I'm wondering if potting here was the right move, my flush draw was lo, so if he had it he most definitely had it higher, he might call a value bet with a worse low, but if i don't hit the flush then i might have to split anyway, so is this a standard move?PokerStars Game #17694304236: Tournament #88690171, $5.00+$0.50 Omaha Hi/Lo Pot Limit - Level VI

  10. I'd been sitting here for a while watching these people call with just about any 2 cards, I'd seen a raise and a all in reraise pf where both had AJo, so I'm just sitting tight for the moment, and then this hand happens, lol.PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t50 (9 handed) Poker Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FCP)Button (t2120)Hero (t2355)BB (t935)UTG (t1790)UTG+1 (t425)MP1 (t2385)MP2 (t840)MP3 (t1120)CO (t1200)Preflop: Hero is SB with T , 7 . 16. the gambling age in the US is 18 btw, the only reason most casinos and stuff are 21+ is because of the drinking age. k thnks.
  17. Obviously there's more value in knowing I was right. duh.
  18. Me neither, I don't like having weak paint in early position, it seems like there's no right way to play it, I've posted hands where I min raised, limped, and raised, and taken heat from all of them. Of course they were at different blind levels so that affects how you play it. To me this is just a raise to see where I'm at, and also to make the pot worth winning if I happen to hit comfortably with KJ, but how would you play it in this position?
  19. I too have come to realize that I don't need aces to win, back when i first started playing I was basically "card dead" unless I got KK, AA, or AK within an orbit. I would shove all in pre flop with these "aces" and "kings" and always win. Now that I read a book about poker, I never get aces or kings, and have to instead rely on my incredible skillz to win. I'm so bad ***, when I do get aces I'll open fold and show. That REALLY puts the other players on tilt, let me tell you!! I think you get more value out of them that way.
