  1. why not raise preflop? The only arguement I see is that you don't want to define your hand. I'd like that line more if you had AA. I prefer reraising with KK because the button is obviously calling and you're doing a 3 way pot. The button likely has low PP and is getting great implied odds to fish here which is why you should have reraised preflop. As played, I think I push here. You're good more often than you're not. It's not the greatest flop for you but I still think that you can't fold here at 50NL. I push, unless of course I have a strong read. Do we have a read here?
  2. hmmm...very unorthodox...bet flop or check/raise the flop bet.raise the turn.call the river.
  3. hmm..I still think you're ahead here most of the time. Bet 4 bucks and re-evaluate after you get more info.edit: after reading the turn line, call his bet.
  4. you seem to know what you're talking about. I fold my BB like 85% of the time in cash games and SB like 90% of the time. It's -ev protecting your BB when it is so insignificant in comparison to the stacks. In tournies/sngs it's a different story. Although, at high M situations (near the beginning of a tourny) it's not that important to defend either.imo, defending the blinds is over-rated and puts you in tough spots. Obviously if somebody is picking on you and it's obvious, defend, but don't try to come up with an excuse to defend everytime someone from CO or button raises your blinds.
  5. hmm...look at the board and the texture of the flop...how is this weak? rainbow board with all cards far away from each other and I should be betting pot? I don't see the logic.
  6. what about calling that raise and check/folding the turn?
  7. It's one of these situations that I find I don't know how to play right. I don't know what the right way to play this is. I think I should have raised to 10 preflop but it's not like it makes a big difference either way. If he calls 6, he'll call 8. And since I'm playing OOP, I want to manage the pot. But, he's shortstacked which makes this that much harder. Please comment on all streets and the best way to approach and play this hand. 8. I never fold here. I think it's very weak to fold KK here..What is UTG limping here with that has a 4 in it? honestly. He could have TT-QQ...KK is unlikely and AA he raises preflop most likely. A flush draw is possible and he could believe his QcJc count as 2 overs ontop of the flush draw...All these hands play it like this as well....after all, this is 50Nl...I pause for a little while and raise big....maybe shove.EDIT: after reading responses? wow, i'm surprised so many people say fold. I really don't like folding here. That's very weak tight imho.
  9. so you're saying I should fold to his shove? I am getting 301:90 on my money or 3.34:1 which means i have to win 23% of the time to make this break even.... 1/4.34 = ~.23Assuming Q and A are outs, I hit Q or A about 19% of the time...you don't think he has AQ/KQs or a flush draw at least 4% of the time?? I know KQs is streching it but I'm sure a 26/20 can easily 3bet with KQs in a 5 handed game to an UTG raise when he has position and believes that the UTG raises is LAG as he has won 6 of the last 10 pots. I think this is marginal, BUT...it's +EV to call given how the hand played out...should
  10. what an ugly situation...I honestly don't see much that we beat here. If he's a nit...is he limping ATs UTG? possibly but unlikely. It's not even 6-max. His range is AK,AQ, AJ? I don't know..not very often he turns of AJ....also, he could have QQ/JJ/44 and that's basically it imo...and we're beating none of these hands. It's hard to fold this, but you have to in this situation.
  11. that's a tircky spot. You've seen him do it with QJos before which isn't 'any 2 cards'...it's a decent hand to punish limpers with. Most weak players would flat call on the button with QJ after a bunch of limpers, but the stronger play would be to raise a pot sized bet, which is what he did. So, I think his range is....88+...this includes 2 sets and a bunch of over pockets... Ax of diamonds...maybe 89s.....I don't see this EVER being a bluff. Maybe, even A9s is possible in his range...reads could verify or disprove this though....I'll run this through poker stove..Text results appended to poke
  12. I'm pretty sure this is an easy fold. Haven't read the other responses so i might be repeating some things...I think his range is 99+, AKs, AKos...I'm going down to 99 because it's 50NL and I think a lot of players would overvalue hands like 99...I'll poker stove this.Text results appended to pokerstove.txt 66,779,856 games 0.015 secs 4,451,990,400 games/secBoard: Dead: equity win tie pots won pots tied Hand 0: 41.059% 29.83% 11.23% 19922408 7497050.50 { AsKd }Hand 1: 58.941% 47.71% 11.23% 31863347 7497050.50 { 99+, AKs, AKo }---there is 1
  13. getting over 3:1 on my money here.sorry for not converting, i could have sworn i did. I copy/pasted this from the CR forum and converting hands doesn't work in there. I must have forgotten. Its not the tiny sample size that made the stats switch...I don't know what it is, it was just a glitch in the PAhud. I had like 80 hands on him and that is not a lot, but enough to get a relatively good idea of his vpip and pfr%
  14. this welcome is almost as harsh as the P5s
  15. I've won 6 of the last 10 pots and have a very wild image at the table. luckybacon recently joined my table and has reraised me once last orbit after i made a steal raise. I remember seeing his stats as 12/10/6 over 80 hands before me folding to his resteal. Then, this hand comes up and his stats are suddenly 26/20/6 over the same number of hands. A) Can I get away from this in that state of confusion. B)has that happened to any1 before? oh yea...they changed back the following hand to normal. For a sec, i had a conspiracy theory that maybe he hacked into ppl's PAhud inorder to skew their deci
  16. lol, i don't think P5 likes 'the new guy' too much...after that intro post and getting flamed a bunch, it treated me fine.
  17. hey, some of you may remember be because I used to post as GABMAD...I stopped posting because I was a little harsh on people in some of my replies and thus got many ppl hating me and I also didn't exactly follow the forum rules 100%...but I came back and this time I will follow the forum's rules and will be more constructive in my criticsm and wont lets things get too personal...i just wanted to come back because I think this forum is one of the better ones I have seen in terms of many aspects. anyway, sorry about being an *** and offending you b4... it won't happen again.the reason I started
