Ain't that the truth ...Yeah, there was some site that said it could get me rakeback on Bodog even though I had an already existing account. Then I waited around 7 weeks before said site came back and said they in fact could not get me rakeback. I was pretty annoyed and didn't go out looking for it again.

Yeah, it's an awesome tool to help offset a down month and it makes your rushes that much sicker. I still keep the majority of my bankroll on Bodog because I think the softness of their 2/3 and 3/6 NL games can't be made up by getting 27% rakeback from Full Tilt. That's just pure assumption, though.I might check out Carbon Poker, who gives 30% and has soft cash games from the couple reviews I have read.

Jordan is right.It does take a little while for the nuts and bolts of the game to "click" and for to you be fundamentally sound in the style you choose to play.But once you get that part down, you still need to be able to control your emotions, practice good game selection, practice good bankroll management (to an extent - I don't subscribe to the 20 buy-ins+ theory if you aren't playing for a living), and maintain a healthy poker-life balance. That takes a lot more than understanding hand strength and betting patterns.

I wish someone else had said that sooner :/I think your bet size on the flop is too large. It will force out smaller pockets and other weaker hands that might call a 1/2 pot bet. I agree with making the turn bet larger once a card comes that brings four to the flush - that's really all you need to be concerned with when it comes to drawing hands so a raise from the villain means there is a good chance you are behind in the hand at this point.

Raise pre-flop to around 80 rather than 120.Bet around 1/2 to 2/3's the pot on the flop.Bet closer to 2/3's the pot on the turn.If he still chases ... well, not much you can do about that.
