  1. Yeah mate when I get AIM I will add you or whatever it is I am supposed to do.Re this hand - I disagree that he folds all worse hands. He is never folding an A, some rando pairs, maybe he just floats sometimes. More generally, a lot of ppl in this thread tend to say that they would check KK/QQ/1010 on this type of flop. I really don't understand the logic behind this. If you have QQ I assume you check/call flop, What do you do when he barrels turn? When he barrels river? As you say checking loooks weak, but when we have KK/QQ/1010 it doesn't allow us to confidently check call for value. Can't
  2. I would bet/fold flop I think. Don't know too much about $50NL but can't really imagine someone raising you on that flop as a pure bluff. Also can't see him value raising worse (this could be wrong?).Would bet/ fold turn too and shove river if he kept flatting. As played I def call river.Edit: Ah didn't see how much river sucked. Dunno shove it or check fold it after betting flop and turn - I mean he'll ne ver turn A10 into a bluff so you would never be folding the best hand. And maybe he folds his A10 to a shove cos ZOMG flush got there. Not sure but at 50Nl maybe check fold river is best?
  3. FWIW if you agree with me then his range has to be weighted towards AK. I am weighting against JJ/KK/TT based on the reasoning I posted above
  4. against an unknown in a $50 tournament I fistpump call this. If he had of shoved flop I would consider folding, as in my experience donktastic tourney players like to either "slowplay" all streets or just shove it in when they think they have the best hand. If he has AA/KK or a set here then he has taken the former approach on the flop and the latter on the turn (unless he has 77). IMO donks are generally consistent in the approach they take (in that they will either "slowplay" by flopping a set , checking flop and turn and making some gay small bet on river, or fastplay by overshoving flop wi
  5. Don't play much HU but.... hand 1 as you say seems bad.Hand 2 I don't get the raise - is this to induce a spaz shove? Doesn't call still look weaker and won't he barrel a lot of turns?
  6. Interesting. I have never played $50NL but there is no way I am calling that down for a full BI. Certainly calling flop but I'm folding to most sized turn bets. Are you calling that down at $2/$4?Edit: And I am a massive station thus my surprise that I would want to snap fold where someone good wants to call.
  7. Ty Troyo I certainly hope so. I was HU a few times for a seat this year but no go
  8. $180K prizes, $50K profit, 38% ROI. Around $28K from online cash but I am lazy with HEM etc so not exactly sure. Fairly happy just sux I can never ship a really big score. Came very close to $15K - $50K scores maybe 10 times, and the biggest I actually got was $9K.
  9. Poker / LifeI don't care how much I win, but I want a $100K bankroll by the end of 2009. I started this year with $10K, currently have $18K, but won $78K. So I withdrew $70K (!) and spent it on random shit. Oh yeah I have a full-time job so it's not like I was withdrawing to pay bills and stuff. I am just a degen and gamble waaaaaaay too much on just about everything. Also drink too much and prolly spend too much on friends when I am out who have more money than me anyway. It's like even though they earn 200K, I just shipped $10K in an MTT, so tonight's on me weeeeeeeeeeAlso figure out what I
  10. I am super tilted as I have just spend 10 hours playing tournaments so my mind is probably not functioning too well. That being said, I really disagree with you here. There is no doubt that people leave forums for various reasons, and I'm sure a stack of lower-tier players have left FCP for one reason or another. However, have many of them been important, regular contributors?IMO if you look at the important contributors who have left in say the past 2 years, the vast majority of them were the elite players of this forum. I guess it could be said that the more successful players are pre-dispose
  11. **** me finished 23/5196 in the ****ing $125K. AK<QQ then 88<AJ. FAaaaaaaaaaaaark
  12. Got 370K at 5K/10K in the $125K. 62 left. Average 250K. Would be nice if Stars made it worth my while getting up this morning.

  14. OK I got up feel like shit its 7am here.Out of turbo takedown KK<AA AIPF. On a positive note, I randomly tried to enter the Battle of the PLanets thing and found out I had a ticket. Gl all
  15. OK have looked at schedule I will start with Turbo Takedown which means getting up at 7:30am (!). See you all then!
  16. OK you guys have fired me up with your enthusiasm. I live in Australia and work full time so never get to play Sundays. And when I have time off I never get up in time.I have decided I will get up early tomorrow and dominate with you all. Haven't looked at shedule but will be playing everything up to 100r on Stars. Gl all!
  17. Yeah I think max buyin is necessary so that you can put people into tiers properly. Otherwise how do you categorise people from the outset? Someone could go into the draft as a tier 3 player, then just go off and play a bunch of 100r. Their OPR or whatever on a particular sn may not be representative of their skill level. The max buyin is a good way of forcing people to be honest about what tier they should be in - because a guy who plays $1Ks isn't going to bother grinding lower limits just to win the prop bet. I would be playing up to $162s and willing to put up at least $500 - maybe up to $1
  18. This is a sweet idea. I have all of January off work so am definitely keen.I reckon doing it like 2+2 does it, with a draft, captains and a couple of tiers of players (who each contribute different amounts to the prizepool) would be good as it makes it accessible to more forum members. So you would you have a Captain, who puts in like $1K (or whatever they agree on), then tiers say 2-4, who put in decreasing amounts, etc.
  19. did you shove over quasi's UTG open? If so then no definitely a good shove imo - he loves opening light UTG deep in tourneys.Just gotta win the f*cking race next time
