As described in topic;Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em Tournament, 50/100 Blinds (8 handed) - Full-Tilt Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.comSB (t10481)BB (t6065)Hero (UTG) (t9245)UTG+1 (t9403)MP1 (t5940)MP2 (t11680)CO (t2870)Button (t8855)Hero's M: 61.63Beginning after addon i tend to re-evaluate playing style, so going in blanco, 1st hour we both werent seen as maniacs yet nor nits.Preflop: Hero is UTG with J, JHero bets t245, 5 folds, SB raises to t650, 1 fold, Hero calls t405We are both pretty deep, i have position, i think he and i are both representing huge strength so i decide to take cautiou
  2. I think this should be an relativly easy fold. In most cases where he has a pair and a flushdraw, 2 pair or 2 overcards with a flushdraw you are just about flipping. In cases of a made flush already or him having a set you are even worse of. So the only hands you are beating decently are the weirdo bluffs or very weak hands like A8o, 9To, 56o, to see this you are risking your whole stack whilst you invested 17 cents which was nothing more then a potraise to begin with. I say, let this one go.
  3. I think being the SB, a limp rather then raise is plausible sometimes? Anyways, i do understand that raising is in most cases the superior play. If i had raised, and it being 5nl, an allin shove on flop woulda been easier since we'd have different betsizes. I also agree that raising on flop is a no brainer and said it even should be a raise 100% of the time imo.But.. my only real question was/is, if we get in this spot on the turn, lets hope not cause i played it horrible, how do we proceed?

  5. Just had the worst experience in my poker career, thought i'd share the story. Maybe you guys can laugh at my misery and vent a story of your own :-)So i'm not the greatest tournament poker player, ok.. so im not the best poker player, all that beside!I deposited some and played some tourneys which i shouldnt play.Nowww... I run real good in FTs 1719 man 26$ tourney..I have more good cards and good flops and situations then Jamie Gold has during his WSOP.I have been top 50 at worst in the whole tourney, top 25 for most part!We are nearing the end, play gets aggro and crazy, im 'down' to 23/34,
  6. No read on utg limper, utg+1 raiser is a LAG guy so i try to isolate, CO is LAG player too and can frankly have anything even if TAG imo cause its his last amount of chips left. I have no read on BB.BB leads out and i call to raise the turn cause i think i am ahead of his calling range preflop. This is micro limit, and its not weird to have a BB call 2 bets cold with QJ for instance or have KQ, KJ here. The turn is a blank if he does have one of those so i raise thinking it is for value. His call makes me think i'm right about his range. On the river he leads again. Now i'm a bit puzzled. Only t
  7. I don't have solid reads yet on most players involved here, my inital raise is standard i assume. When utg+1 reraises after limping i put him on either a small pair to try and thin the field or the classic limp raise with Aces.I opt to cap it to keep control of the hand since i have position. On the flop it gets checked to me so i bet for info, after only utg+1 calling me, 2 thinks cross my mind. Either he has a set and dangerously wants to keep others in the pot by flatcalling or he has indeed a pair lower then aces that i put him on preflop. On turn he checks to me. I opted to check behind caus
  8. thanks for the input.I was guessing it is a low sample indeed but i don't really have an idea of what is considered a decent size.I will try and play with the converter a bit and put on some situations i faced.
  9. Hey guys, Long time lurker, non-writer here with this quick introduction. I've been playing poker for about 3 years now as mainly hobby. Played all kinds of formats and read quite some books, amongst them the widely known and appreciated SSHE, HOHs and others. I've had some results here and there but as said, playing for hobby mostly so i often played over my head cause i wanted to take shots at the big(ger) $. As many will know, that led through plenty times of going broke lol. Anyways, i could keep talking but maybe another time :-) To cut to the point a bit, i want to take poker a bit more
