  1. Yeah I don't have a problem with pf. Obviously once you hit it you are kicking yourself for not raising but what can you do. I can also understand what you were thinking with your flop bet. Sometimes we just need to make ourself bet our hands and just hope we get paid off big, rather than just trying to milk more out of them, however this is easier said than done.
  2. I pretty much agree with this. The only thing that I would say is that I too have also been guilty in the past of only completing with small pps from the SB.
  3. Hand 1 I call this pretty quickly.Hand 2, depending on stack sizes can't you call on your fd?
  4. It is a pretty interesting hand. I can definately see him showing up with QQ through AA here but I still think he is bluffing with AK/AQ or an underpair enough here to call down. Also, with the bet fold line, can't a competent villain put us on a 9 here and bluff us out of it with whiffed overs?
  5. Hand 1, her range is prob like 99+ and AQ+ so either raising the flop or calling the flop to get it in on the turn is fine I think.Hand 2, raise pf. You have a reasonable strong hand and good position in a pot that noone has shown strength in as of yet. If you had raised preflop it would have made it much easier for you to play. As played you still have a reasonable hand on the turn here. I prob check call a bet and reevaluate river. His turn action will have a fair bearing on how I play the rest of the hand.
  6. You need to understand that these issues of pot control and position do not apply to these two hands. Hero starts hand 1 with 31bbs and hand 2 with 40. With hand 1, anyone who gets away from it or is thinking of pot control should quit poker. We have a reasonably strong hand and are 31bbs deep, there is no issue. With hand 2, I agree that he needs to cbet the flop and that his float is kind of ordinary but to say that 3-handed, 40bbs deep he should not be reraising AQs oop is a bit ridiculous IMO.Hand 1, there is no problem, I bet more on the turn to try and get it in but whatever. Hand 2,
  7. Please explain how he could have kept the pot smaller in hand 1.Also, pf reraise with AQs against a button raiser is ultra standard.
  8. To be honest I actually think that bet/folding the turn here is a pretty awful play. I far prefer call turn, check-call river myself. He raises our turn bet with a ridiculous range IMO, heaps of which we beat and that he will bet the river with.
  9. One question I would ask is has he been playing back at you predominantly when you raise pf and then cbet the flop, or has he been doing this on hands in which he has initially taken the lead on also? Also, do you have any stats on the villain? Especially pf raise % is important here, as we need to know if the villain is capable of having raised here with a hand which could give them a draw.To be honest if the villain has been continually playing back at you I do not mind getting it in here.
  10. Fair enough. Do you think we just need to fold to his turn check-raise? I am pretty sure that getting it in on the turn here with no read is -EV.
  11. Yep, I get it all in every time unless the villain is a total nit, which this one definately is not.
  12. Firstly, our turn push here does not give him the proper odds to call on his naked flush draw.I dont hate hero's line of pushing the turn here, but I would raise the flop myself. I hate calling on the turn.
  13. Reraise the flop to $60 and call a push. As played I don't bet the river.
  14. With position I call and reevaluate the river. If he fires close to a PSB on the river I think I might fold. Tough to see him playing anything other than an 8 this way.
  15. Pretty sure BB has like $130 and change left after his turn raise?
  16. When opponents are giving me fantastic odds on a very strong draw I often prefer a call, expecially on the turn. Having said that, due to our very large number of outs I do not hate the shove.
  17. Looks like a fairly standard call turn and check/call a non-A river?
  18. Complete rubbish. Both in terms of the analysis given and gramatically.
  19. I said 'raise flop' in the other thread that you referred to however after some explanation from others I can understand the theory behind calling. The major difference here I think is that monster draws are not a part of his range. His range is a J, fd and a set.For this reason I think I prefer to raise the flop. The thing I hate about calling is that what do you do if a heart rolls off on the turn and he bets it again?
  20. With heavy action from two opponents I let go of bottom two here pretty easily.
  21. Although hes pretty nauseating I found Gordon's little green book pretty helpful for beating the low limit cash games.
  22. Do you have any read on him? If you do not have a specific read on him as being a nit I get it all in here.
