  1. http://www.cardplayer.com/poker-blogs/6-ph...ying-a-new-handPH Blog up, pretty short and sweet, and for the first time ever, no name dropping! Not even a plug for any new potential site/sponsor!
  2. "This Isildur thing" is not a retarded marketing ploy, it came about completely genuinely. Player tears it up, kills high stakes, has biggest swongs ever, these things CAN'T be controlled by marketing. He chose not to out himself, either because of his age, or because he wanted to keep secretive, or maybe he was smart enough to see the marketing potential (which I doubt, as I can't imagine for a second he perceived this level of hype would surround him). After Pokerstars signed him it became more to do with marketing, but that's why they signed him - he was already marketable. Pokerstars hasn'
  3. Way to call him sexist, then pretty much validate what he said...
  4. Rose, you shouldn't be results oriented. I'm assuming you say you should have shoved instead of 20,000 to get her to fold, right? But why do you want her to fold? You should only try and fold out hands or ranges that have you beat or have significant equity against your hand, but surely you were trying to extract value? You got her to put all the money in way behind, which is perfect, and you can hope for little more than that.
  5. I think you missed the point of my post.. By quite a distance, too.
  6. Your blog taught me that Super System 1 and 2 were actually written by Dan Harrington, and not Doyle Brunson and Co. like I stupidly thought...
  7. I don't think I've ever disagreed more with so few words...
  8. Some people aren't very smart...There is a reason this is better than giving money for both parties. For one, the very good point made twice which seems to have gone over Mercury's head is the fact that this has no value to him, and has worth to someone else, so he's getting additional value in a matter of speaking. From the charities point of view, Eastgate making a $20k donation is great, but if he sells an item like this bracelet for $20k, and it generates media interest, etc., that is so much more valuable to the charity, as his $20k may end up becoming $25k, or much more. It's the same re
  9. I know a guy who had "Homosexuals are gay" tattooed on his arm for £50 + price of the tattoo... true story.
  10. If you say you're still learning at poker, why can't you strive to improve this too? It would greatly improve your time on here... Also, spelling and grammar is way easy to be good at... As you like Fluffers quote on constantly striving to improve at poker, it's generally a good ethos on life in general, if there's something you know you're weak at, it's good to aim to improve on it... just my 2 cents.
  11. It's the whole CR guys / Isildur thing all over again...
  12. 18BB's on the felt and he couldn't be ****ed to just shove every hand til he either won or lost? It would take all of a minute or two. Stupid old man.
  13. Nice work Fluff!Seems you've been grinding online a lot lately, fell out of love with live?
  14. Poker being popular and him endorsing a site doesn't remove his right to say his opinion. If Annie wants to bitch at him, she can, privately or publicly. If Pokerstars want to bitch at him, they will, privately. Either way, an open letter on the internet not directly at the maker at the comments but at the person who he represents asking for them to bitch at him is the work of a bit of a ****. And while what he said may have been immature, her snitching is not much higher. Just because she used big words and good structure, it still isn't much above crying and saying "Miss, that kid hurt my fe
  15. Jeez. I really do feel an ass. I wasn't trying to be a douche though, just thought it was funny. Kinda backfired though.
  16. If you start with $100,000 and double up twice you do not have $300,000. DUCY?Math like that, you're guaranteed to walk away with $300k. Fo' sho'.
  17. I assume you mean what will fold that has him beat, not that he has beat?
  18. It's that sort of vomit-inducing play / result that cause 'rigged' statements. Nasty.
  19. Gatortom??? What does he have to do with it?
  20. Why does the bold matter? Particularly if you say respect is not a one way street, is it a post-based street? I think that's kind of the reason he's saying it won't be broken, because of how it would be literally impossible in modern times. It didn't come across as arrogant to me, just that he's proud that he can say he's done something that won't be matched, because the event has changed so much. He said a lot of those words anyway. And, you've come across a lot more arrogant ITT than he did IMO. I think you missed the reason he did it..I don't have a problem with you Lurbz, I think you're a
  21. Just PechiePosted 10 minutes ago by SantanaBandanaJustin Pechie opened to 2,300 with the button and Paul Wasicka defended his big blind. The flop fell {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} and Wasicka checked to Pechie who continued for 2,700. Wasicka check-raised to 7,600, Pechie moved all in for 22,700 and Wasicka called.ShowdownPechie: {10-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}Wasicka {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}The {2-Diamonds} smacked on the turn giving Wasicka a better flush, and after the {3-Clubs} bricked on the river, Pechie was eliminated.Wasicka is off to a nice start, and now sits with 56,000 chips.GG loo
