Bottom Set, Deep Stackaments
Donkeylicious replied to Naked_Cowboy's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
You're very obviously a more accomplished player than I, but I could not disagree with you more. I don't think that the BB's bet necessarily screams a "move" as much as it does "what are you leading with and do you want to go all the way with it?". NC lead out with a weak-ish bet out of the SB and any thinking player would question whether or not the SB either has a huge hand, some type of draw, or air. BB knows full well he can't just call with the best hand, esp with the button left. IMO, he's betting to A) protect his hand from the button, who everyone knows is drawing and B) to put NC to a -

I honestly don't see how shoving it in could be a bad idea...if youre up against a better set, then youre just up against a better set. I realize at your limits, shoving it in is easier said than done, but if youre playing within your bankroll, then I dont see how getting it all in is a bad thing. Unless that little voice inside is really yelling at me, i have to do something here to let me know the set is truly no good...the ***** of it is almost any raise just about commits you, I would think.i dont think flat calling is an option at all. too many scary cards to come off that would put you w -
