  1. You are beating nothing. At best racing. And I think most of the time you are a big dog. AK is not as strong as everyone thinks it is IMO.
  2. I think if you have a never fold a set policy, you should adhere to it.Kinda like the never fold QQ in the first level of a 4.40 180, sometimes you're beat but you know that most of the time you're not, so it's +EV to get it all in in that spot.I would instacall this. I don't really see what all the debate is about. Especially with the BBs dead money.
  3. Unless you have seen him overplay 99-JJ recently, I don't like this shove at all.
  4. I would make it liek $2 pre and shove the flop. Maybe losing a little value but you're getting called by K J everyday and twice on sundays.Plus you don't want to slow play your aces and get bent over.
  5. FT of a 137 person sattellite to the PCA in Aruba! Only the winner gets a seat, I went out in 8th when I pushed a shortstack with A 10 and lost to 88. Not really the bubble, second would have been worse, but still I'm only 19, so that would have been a dream come true. Arghhh sooo close.
  6. Like I don't see why you would come on here and be like, oh, it was pretty obvious to me that Lazar had aces, I think Mike should have folded. You weren't there, don't waste my time with this crap.
  7. Folding KK preflop is -EV.And it's pretty easy to read people's hands when you can see their hole cards, though I'm sure you can "see through people's souls"
  8. Matusow has won 2 more bracelets than Roberts, and has 2 more ME final tables. Thus Roberts cannot criticize Matusow for trying to put himself in position to win the ME with KK.
  9. Theres no such thing as an unneccessary risk if you are the favorite, and it's a mistake to think like that. I think trips makes a good point, and it seems like he gets paid often enough on these overbets to make it profitable. Poker involves taking risks, duh.
  10. I didn't mean you, you're a newbie, I wouldn't even know you.I was referring to the OP.
  11. The BB is all in, so you're getting the right pot odds to call.
  12. A little leading into an early position raiser with no pair no draw?Bad idea.
  13. Dude you're like the weirdest person on this forum.
  14. The BB only has like 2400 behind. Any raise commits his whole stack, and we are definitely not folding if he comes back over the top. May as well make a bet if you're prepared to call it.
  15. Basically when someone in a 5 dollar SNG checks, then minraises, they are basically telling you, I flopped the nuts. The SB has a seven, accept it and move on to the next hand.
  16. Not possible. There has to be money in the pot preflop. You are never getting exactly 1-1 on your money.
  17. The Fast and The Furious:Two Aggro College Students raise and bluff at every pot until they go broke. They berate the middle aged tourists who call pot sized turn bets with 5 high flush draws on paired boards. What will they do when they bluff off their entire roll?
  18. No you were the boss when I got here, lol.And personally I like a smaller strat community moreso than I would like a ginormous one like 2+2. Sounds like you have a pretty sweet life. I'm thinking about starting to build a big enough bankroll that I could live off of one day. I'm thinking about putting $500 on stars and seeing what I can do, because up until now, I've only have small sums of money on and offline (like $200 at the most), and I play 1-2 NL when I can afford it, just like every other recreational player in the world. I really want to start taking the game seriously, and managin
  19. Meh good point, you could wait for the SB to bust then go shortstack ninja style. On second thought you could just let it go, but I think you're folding the best hand a fair amount of the time here. I'm not gonna estimate a percentage though.
  20. I figured you and DN had like monthly meetings about the site and stuff. Like you were work buddies or something. You work from home I take it?
