  1. All good points here. If I flop the joint I'm trying to stack here, but otherwise I'm just trying to win a smallish pot with a decent hand.. I was trying for pot control and I'm trying to get better at playing postflop.
  2. I'll check more of these responses tomorrow. I'm a little surprised I shouldn't limp here. I'd almost raise here on the button. When I get a flop like this, what are they going to put me on? Maybe that's just the results talking, because long run it probably never profits.. I thought I had enough chips to speculate though.
  3. I don't like the chipstack of the cutoff, so I'm not sure a standard raise would do the trick. I lean towards mucking it..

  5. FYP - You'll thank me later.Edit - Maybe I didn't get it. Stupid internet sarcasm.
  6. I guess this is getting moved to Sports.. But I tend to favor the world champions over a franchise centered around an overrated running back that's been mismanaged since it began to exist.
  7. 11 dollar 90 man double stacks at FTP IMO..
  8. First of all : Best. Thread. Ever. Or at least in the top ten thousand. Beer is good, I'll agree. You bought it at a convenience store, and where I'm from that means half the alcohol and it tastes like piss. So continue hating yourself.
  9. My standard bets are 3 1/2x the big blind or pot bet before the flop, and about 55-60% of the pot on subsequent streets. I really haven't got into betting more/less depending on situations yet. This has been an interesting discussion.
  10. I have no reads on the villain, I hadn't noticed him show down a hand. My thinking here is that the only bigger King is going to be AK, and I thought AK would have reraised before the flop..Is this a standard shove? Or to loose for this big a tournament?Full Tilt PokerNo Limit Holdem Ring gameBlinds: $80/$1609 playersConverterStack sizes:UTG: $8177UTG+1: $14280Sid: $3582MP2: $4301MP3: $6695CO: $2136Button: $1980SB: $8157BB: $9149Pre-flop: (9 players) Sid is MP1 with K Q 2 folds, Sid raises to $560, MP2 folds, MP3 calls, 4 folds.Flop: 7 K 9 ($1360, 2 players)Sid bets $700, MP3 raises to
  11. Woohoo I'm in first. Was getting ran over by the deck. Guess I'll just sit out now..
  12. Thanks for the input. Didn't make it, so I tried a 1.75 sng satellite and beat that.. I lost right before the first break because AA<K9o when half the money goes in preflop and a third king hits the river. But I'm not here to whine about suckouts.I'm in the FTP 26 dollar token frenzy now.. Anyone else in? I'm in 10th of 86, time to tighten up?Any other satellite advice? I'm in FTP under Sid Simelia if anyone wants to rail for some reason. I'm not mad at being ignored.
  13. Hey, I'm a smaller stakes player with not a very big bankroll. I am trying to win entry into the 11 dollar 4th of July BBQ on tourny on FTP, cause Chris Ferguson says I can't buy in. Chris Ferguson will let me play a million of the two dollar satellites to try and get in though.I am playing one now. Does anyone have any general suggestions they can give on playing in a tournament that rewards all of the top 16 in this case the exact same prize?
  14. Back online..Didn't get my buyin credited yet though
  15. Me too. This sucks. I was in a 45 man 1.25 where 6 paid and I was in 5th with like 11 left.I got more dollars, but it still sucks.
  16. Just got a notice.. Tournament play will resume at 9:30 eastern..GL
  17. About the sample size, I read somewhere on pocket twos in one of the articles (too lazy to find) that it depends on your ROI. If I can remember the point, it was basically that if you have an ROI of only 5 or -5 then you need like >1000 sng samples whereas if you have an ROI 20-25 you only need like 300 games. I know since I passed around 200 games according to Sharkscope and I moved up a level, I'm now north of like 450 games and still in that same 19-21% ROI level..
  18. In my donkish opinion it looks like a bluff. Lots of people like to call on the river and then take it away when the scare card hits the turn. It think it's likely he has Adx so he is semibluffing.I just don't see having a suited ace and then jamming the turn. I know instead of flat calling the flop I would shove if I was the villian and had AK of diamonds most of the time. Especially if I put you on that big pair like jacks.Oh well, that's my opinion, but I'm not a math player so much what do I know.
  19. I love these.. We should barrage one some time. Post if you're interested.
  20. Yeah me too. That's what we said.
  21. Usually standard for my game. If I'm calling a shove though, I might try to overbet more or even shove first because of the draw.
