  1. Second of all, you wanna talk d-bag? Brian Wilson is the epitome of a d-bag. Did you watch "Life of Brian?" or whatever the hell it was called on comcast bay area? Are you freakin kidding me? If you can find it on youtube, please watch it and then come back and tell me who the real d-bag is.
Life of BrianSo this is the "Life of Brian" show that they aired here on Comcast sports Bay Area. Check out the clip entitled "Starving," it's pretty damn hilarious. It's so awkward that I almost feel sorry for the guy...almost.
  2. My wife is a fricking ridiculous die hard Twilight fan. Read all 4 books at least 10 times and for the longest time she had the most ridiculous crush on Edward Cullen. I mean to the point of where my home PC desktop background was changed, she had some sort of playing card thing that was her car panel by her odometer. She has probably watched the movie 15 times. With all that said I have been exposed to this phenomenon. I haven't ready any of the books, but I did see the movie and it is pretty good. It is definitely not up to all the hype and drama, but I'm sure I'll watch the rest of the series when the movies come out. The New Moon trailer looks pretty good and that one Jake guy is sooooooooooo hot when he takes off his shirt. wait, what?
You married a 15 year old?
  3. The only complaint I have is that I like it more when he converses with Max Weinberg instead of Andy Richter.
I liked the old Conan/Richter schtick...last night just seemed kind of off. Richter's laugh is kind of annoying. Also, it's kinda weird seeing him enter from the right of the stage (facing the stage) than from the left. Other than that, he's still the same Conan which is a good thing.
  4. I think one is illegal and one is not so therefore one is worse. Yes, both situations end in death. So does a murder and a bad, car accident. And I think murder is worse than if you get in a car accident that is not your fault and kill someone. Even though they both end in death.we agree that both things end in death, we disagree on whether one is still worse than the other.
but only one begins with intent, not even comparable.
  5. I mean my SN is MaxStPolish and after I put a smack down on a player, they'll often shoot out a anti-polish remark at me, even though my SN has nothing to do with Poland and it's inhabitants. So it goes.
lol, I always read your name polish, as in nail polish. Thanks for clearing that up.
  6. The fact that the discovery of even more evidence (on top of the mountains of already existing evidence) for evolution ended up in the religion forum, explains why I hate religion. Stay the hell out of science. The book you follow was written in the friggen bronze age. If you want to go around life believing in everlasting life, resurrections, walking on water, etc., please realize that you have exactly zero empirical evidence for your belief. It is not science. It is not even logic. It's friggin fantasy.
Why do I need something to fall back on? And I never said I hate the religious, I said I hate religion. I don't hate someone for being ignorant or unintelligent. That is just genetics. For you Lois, I guess you believe everyone is the same intelligence? Or does god pick favorites? And are the dumb his favorites, cause lets face it, its easier to go through life as an idiot. Ignorance is truly bliss. The reason the OP was motivated to place this topic in the religion category is obvious. It is the anti-evolution agenda by the religious (whether muslim, christian, hindu, or satanist) he is trying to argue against. This shouldn't be necessary, but it is. Because of all the misinformation put out there by well-minded, but ignorant scientifically, religious individuals. I still would like an answer as to why we should trust a bronze age book over decades of research and empirical evidence. It's just ludicrous.
The belief in an eternal soul makes absolutely no logical sense. Zero scientific basis. And yet the sheep keep following the shepherd. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
And this is what makes religion work for you. Ignore the evidence; keep believing the fantasy. And everything will be A.O.K. And when I die, I won't die, and I will see my grandpa and grandma, and little toto too. And there will be music and angels and I will always be happy. Oh, and by the way, all the science you godless believe in is crap. Well, not all of it. The atom bomb does actually explode and satellites do orbit the planet, so I guess that worked out for you. But evolution, that definitely is wrong. I know this this because I got to know myself better through god, and working on my shortcomings, not actually doing any science or research of any kind.
I think you are ignorant and mentally deficient, while at the same time, being condescending to unbelievers. Which is even funnier, since you wear it like a badge of honor.
    Pot meet Kettle.
  7. Did anyone mention Casey Blake douchebaggery a few weeks ago when he mimicked brian wilson's celebration after he gets a save? I wish the giants would play the dodgers soon so that he can see what a 98 mph fastball feels like. Too bad we dont play for at least a month....stupid schedule makers.Discuss.
I don't even know where to begin with this.First of all, why is it that pitchers get to celebrate like little leaguers after a strike out or a save (i.e. K-rod, Wilson), but a batter has to run around the bases with his head down after a home run like his dog just died or else he gets beaned his next at bat? Double meet standard.Second of all, you wanna talk d-bag? Brian Wilson is the epitome of a d-bag. Did you watch "Life of Brian?" or whatever the hell it was called on comcast bay area? Are you freakin kidding me? If you can find it on youtube, please watch it and then come back and tell me who the real d-bag is. This dude tries waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too hard to be "edgy" but just comes across as the ultimate bag. And don't even get me started on his "arm crossing tribute to his father and his faith rip off of an MMA gesture. I'm a Christian and I thought it was kind of a cool gesture, until I found out that it's an MMA thing...seriously wtf?!?!?! Just go out there and pitch, let your pitching do the talking and leave the antics at home.Fwiw, I don't think Wilson will hit Blake the next time they face each other. As douchey as I think Wilson is, I also think he is above the bean ball for something as harmless as this.
  8. You're missing the point. I didn't start this thread. Braveheart didn't start this thread. None of the players that you would think would even have skin in this game bothered to do so. Why do you think that is? Let me help you. Because, when I saw the story when it first came out it never crossed my mind to start a thread with a different spin. Like "How does it feel to have found this really, really old animal and be nowhere closer to knowing how his all began?" Why would I do that? What's the point? The truth is, both sides have faith, it's just in different things, but the one side that consistently just has to come out dick swinging, is yours. Spadman. Crow. Guys like that literally have a hard on for God. Meanwhile, I am so past worrying about each and every little thing you guys can bring up to try and "challenge" my faith. Most of it is one part weak sauce one part massive fail. I would much rather spend my time getting to know myself better through God, working on my shortcomings and putting all that effort that used to be wasted on you, in to myself. Honestly, it feels better, and it works. Not getting caught up in the random bullshit that is this site actually improved my life. Thats one thing I respect about Spademan, he couldn't care less. It's something I aspire to be when it comes to this site.
not necessarily the wording I would use, but this is pretty much spot on.
  9. Look, I know that I'll probably never get any non-Christian in this forum to accept Christ as their Savior, and you'll never get me to renounce my faith. A lot of people on here like Lois have presented the case for faith, and people like you have presented the case for science. I guess I'd just rather see us be able to understand where each other are coming from better, and use this forum for productive debate, rather than taking pointless jabs and making jokes.
The book you follow was written in the friggen bronze age. sigh.
  10. because it is religious leaders trying to push their skewed version of Christianity onto American life through legislation......and you both support that from your posts on this forum. because religious leaders quote the bible when they want to outlaw gay marriage but they dont seem to remember the bible has much stronger things to say about the evils of divorce.I could go on and on but it is pointless. you may have a relationship with god, but you support what the religious right wants to do.....and at every turn religion has shows itself to be unworthy of telling anyone what to do about anything.
First of all, I don't think you know me enough to tell me what I do and don't support. Second of all, I have a mind of my own. Because Pat Robertson or some other fanatical religious right figure says something, it doesn't mean that every Christian accepts it is as true, or necessarily lives their lives accordingly. Like I said before, there are a lot of people in this forum that don't get the difference between "Religion" and "Relationship. Either that, or you all lump Catholics and Protestants into one big group, which would again be another mistake. I'd be the first to admit, that major atrocities have been committed in the "name of religion." That's pretty much a "no-duh" statement. The problem I have is when you put up a link talking about abuse in the Catholic Church, and then say "how can you have any faith in religion?" Do you seriously think every Catholic thinks it's cool to abuse children? I mean come on, that's just completely absurd and a bit offensive. Look, I know that I'll probably never get any non-Christian in this forum to accept Christ as their Savior, and you'll never get me to renounce my faith. A lot of people on here like Lois have presented the case for faith, and people like you have presented the case for science. I guess I'd just rather see us be able to understand where each other are coming from better, and use this forum for productive debate, rather than taking pointless jabs and making jokes...yeah that sounded kinda ghey, but you know what I mean. Meh, I'm sure I'll get flamed for this post as well.
  11. I can understand how you can still have faith in god.....but how ANYONE can still have faith in religion is beyond me.just another sad, sad chapter for Catholicism: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090525/ap_on_..._catholic_abuse
Not speaking for Lois, but I don't really know any Protestants that put their faith in religion. I think Lois would tell you, as would I, that we have a relationship with God...not with religion. I'm not sure why this always this is always so hard to understand.
