Doyle's tournament game may have declined due to focus and endurance but he still may very well be the best live NL Holdem cash game player in the world. He seems to know where he stands in almost every hand. We haven't seen much of him this season due to Gold and Farha hogging the time, but from what we have seen from his last appearances and this one he has played amazing.

You have to admit that 2 sit and go cashes on back to back nights is quite impressive.
-
I'm pretty sure he was the shortstack for his entire stay at the final table.

Although Daniel is one of my favorite players and I don't like Phil Gordon, I can understand why Phil would have some disdain towards Daniel. I think it all stems from Daniel criticizing the players in the WPT lawsuit. I also remember Daniel criticizing Phil Gordon's play in one of those live FSN poker shows (even though Gordon won). Although I agree with Daniel's view on the Lindgren comments, I don't know why he thinks it's ok for him to give his opinions on everything and not ok for some other people even if Phil Gordon is a jackass.

Ever Broken Something After A Really Bad Beat?

Just two laptops. -
I don't necessarily believe anything that Tony G writes or says. Maybe a stupid question but why would they be playing for USD in Russia?

http://www.pokermovies.nl/movies/102/High-...-4/Episode-15ytFor anyone who can't get it. Quality is pretty bad but still worth it.

It seems like they only showed about 5 hands this episode but Greestein seemed to play quite poorly. Why would you continuation bet 55 on a 789 flop against Gold and Farha? I think he wins the pot there approximately 0% of the time. It is amazing to see how badly great players play against bad players. Farha does have some method to his madness however. He fully realizes when he is playing badly because he knows that if he ever hits a rush he will paid off huge. Still probably not a winning strategy though.

Here is a link to the first person who is in the process of uploading it on youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/VailerthHe is on 4 of 5 right now. You can't find it by searching for a couple hours. You have to find the persons youtube page.I have always though that people were too harsh on Jamie Gold but the way he acted this hand was wrong. Although I really like Doyle I think he was also a bit out of line with whining about how long the hand was taking. They are playing for a ton of money and Sammy should be able to take as long as he wants.

Yeah it looks like he got as high as 50k profit through 12,000 games then started to decline. Nothing very impressive either way considering how many he has played. I have been meaning to listen to a couple of the pokerroad shows. Thanks for the link.

What I don't understand is how "RainKhan" can say he is "notorious" for online sit and gos when he is a slightly losing player at them. Username Games Played Av. Profit Av. Stake Av. ROI Total Profit Form Network Filter RaiNKhAN 19,992 -$1.92 $124 1% -$38,366 - PokerStars x He certain wasn't lying about playing a lot of them but who cares if you are a break even player at best. I think it safe to say that 20,000 sit and gos is a large enough sample size.

Surviving with 5987. Impressive chip counts guys.

I just remembered seeing somewhere that there is an 11 or 13 state ban at Doyle's Room. I think NY was one of them too.
-
So the players are only contributing $4290 into a $25,000 prize pool? That is pretty amazing. Maybe I might try playing there then if thats the case.

I guess Ted Forrest has just been lucky for all these years. Must be why he is called the "spook".
-
I was actually watching her table late in an FTOPS event the other night when someone brought up her comments about Ted. She responded with "I'm not going to say he played good when he didn't."I guess it's not a huge deal to give your honest opinion of certain players but it doesn't make you look too good when you criticize players of the caliber of Ted Forrest.
-
Very well put. I don't see anything wrong with her giving her opinion but her opinion is wrong. There are many different ways to be successful at poker and a lot of online players think that there is only one proper way. Playing in shortstacked online tournaments is much different then playing in deepstacked live tournaments. Perhaps limping and calling is a bad way to play late in an online tournament when the average stack is ~20 bbs but it is a good way in the first few levels of a big live tournament.

It is good to see that most if not all of the players endorsed by the US sites are pushing for online poker to be legitimately legalized. If you think about it, it would be in the best interest for many of these people and sites to keep the legal landscape of online poker as is. Pokerstars, Fulltilt, Absolute, Bodog, etc are all making way more since the UIGEA. We still don't really know the long term impacts of the UIGEA or other attacks against online gambling but at least in the short term it would be very easy for a lot of these people to sit back and reap the benifits of more players.

Yeah, I agree 100% with everything you said. If Gold just calls on the turn (which would have been the correct play given the two hands) he hits the river and maybe wins more than he actually did. With the way Gold was playing I can't imagine Antonius doesn't payoff quite a bit.

Fold. Risking 10,000 to win about 5,800 is not worth it and is not going to make much difference in your chances of winning the tournament if it works.

Someone Tell Me What The "disconnected" Scam Is On Ft
ShaneO19 replied to mtdesmoines's topic in General Poker Forum
I don't know what it is but I really have a difficult time playing against slow opponents. I thought it was harder for me to get a read on someone who plays slow but maybe there is something else to it. -
I don't think I'm going to play. 0 for 3 so far in FTOPS. I will probably just play the 6max limit holdem and main event the rest of the way.

1970. Was down to 475

Only 1905. Computer froze which made me miss about 10 hands.
