  1. Losing 6 full buy-ins at 100BB cash tables has been my worst streak. I know when I lose around 5 buy-ins that things are lookign bad and I need to take a step back for a moment.
  2. Thats a nice manly royal flush - using both holecards. Still havent had mine, 3 years and waiting.
  3. I am very happy to let my SB go, in most cases im looking for reasons to drop it rather than complete/raise. Also remember that when you blinds are in the pot, its not your money anymore, it belongs to the pot.
  4. You shouldn't feel you have to leave when you win X amount or lose X amount. But you should leave if that X amount is affecting the way you play.
  5. Thats harsh. Raise the flop though.
  6. Do any of the rooms charge more or less rake than others? Or in general are they all about the same? I know that WPEX charges nothing and about rakeback and such, but I'm just wondering about the base charge. I'm aware that the rake structures for each room is different, but overall does this work out so that the same amount of rake will be deducted from all of the hands put together?
  7. Sounds good from here. If you want to double check how much you have wagered and how much more you need to wager, support will be happy to tell you if you email them.
  8. That 33 call was astounding. Thats the kind of HH you print off and frame.
  9. Unless he had an awesome read, yes.Would love to see players like that at the bubble in every tourny.
  10. No 'pinch pinch' in the chat box? Thats my favourite part of krablar hand histories.
  11. Ive never really been a big fan. I think its more of an american thing.Whats the attraction? Or do we just have **** donuts in the UK?
  12. If I had to make a rough estimation, I would say I usually play between 1-2 hours a day. Some days I will play for hours on end, but then I will have occasional periods of not playing poker at all.How much do you play?
  13. A little side note:To be a good aggressive player, you have to be able to know when not to be aggressive. Aggression lends itself to poker, as you can either win the pots by making the other player fold, or showing down the best hand. Therefore aggressive players always have this basic advantage. But when playing aggressive, you always have to prepare to back down in certain situations, and not continue to bet/raise just because your image dictates that you should.
  14. Now say a situation occurs where you had to sacrifice one of these for the rest of your lives, which would you sacrifice? Vegetarians' votes are null and void, this is a topic for the meat eaters. None of these 'none' or 'neither' posts either, be decisive!
  15. Use some tracking software and play for about 10,000 hands multitabling and 10,000 single tabling and see what your results are. Find out which you make the most money at per hour.Obviously if you are going pro for a year then you will want to take the most profitable option, but if you are multitabling then you will be losing your edge and you wont be in the zone as you say. This could make things more of a grind and you do not give yourself much room to improve, because you do not allow yourself the time to think each situation through and attempt new moves.
  16. Say that you had never discovered poker in your life, would anything be different for you? Has poker had such a great impact that you can comfotably say that you would not be where you are today without poker, or has poker just been that little something to keep you busy when you have little else to do? In general, how much has poker affected your life?
  17. Moving down takes a lot of discipline. For example, if you have $300 and lose $100 playing $.5/$1 limit, you should in theory move down to $.25/$.5 to help prevent losing your whole roll. Sounds simple enough, but when you are coming off the back of a downswing and moving down a level where it theoretically will twice as long to earn back what you have lost, its not an easy move to make.It is unlikely that you will lose another $200 if you stay at the $.5/$1, but its not impossible as variance does not take into account the fact that you have just lost the $100. It all depends on how valuable
  18. Thats easily the best article I have read this year.
  19. I write no limit and pot limit holdem articles, so the article was written with that in mind. I didnt realise this was a section for micro LIMIT poker. But anyways, I imagine you can still apply most of the theory to the limit game.
  20. Being a beginner poker player, you are on the steepest part of the learning curve by far. A little knowledge you learn now will add alot to your game. Therefore my best advice to you is to absorb as much quality information as you can as fully as you can. And if you stick around here you can guarantee you can receive some quality information.
  21. If you want to improve post flop play I highly reccomend you start playing pot limit holdem. I firmly believe that pot limit requires more skill, and requires alot of good post flop play.I used to play NL exclusively, but after playing PL I found my post flop play improved dramatically.
