  1. Then don't post a strategy hand. It is something that happens a ton; someone posts a hand, people say that they played it poorly, and then defend themselves by saying "well, there are table dynamics and you just don't understand these players." If you truly wanted advice about the hand, you should be more open about it and not trying to defend your play. Flattens the flop is a horrendous play and needs to be stated as such. Your description of the villain makes it where raising/getting it in on the flop is gonna be the best line all the time. So please, don't hide behind the "you don't underst
  2. Again, I don't think calling here is terribe or anything, but it is something that needs to be considered seeing that his sizing is so much. But flatting the flop is just horrible w how much is in the pot, the action, and the board texture
  3. When I say 200, I mean 200bbs deep 1k plus
  4. Was just an initial feeling the first time I read the hand before he added the utg+3 guy. Just seems to be a large open size and I hate being oop, tho its obviously a fit/fold situation. I was wanting all stacks to be 200+.
  5. Bc if the the crazy guy is willing to get it in with these types of hands, we can do it right away on the flop when we pretty much have the nuts. He is gonna be getting it in with over pairs, two pair, straight draws and flush draws. Get the money in now so we don't have to worry about him maybe folding if the flush card gets there. Even if you then do end up being against a flush draw and he gets there, you still have outs. And against a maniac, folding the turn is pretty nitty too. He can have worse hands here a lot and can have bluffs. You've got to think about the villain you are playing.
  6. This is really results oriented thinking. I'll try to make a better post when I'm on a computer
  7. Folding the flop would be really bad and exploitable.
  8. Don't raise to 500;that would be really bad.
  9. Raise. Heaps of draws out there to get value from and there is a ton of money in the pot to begin with but i think this is a fold pre
  10. i mean....what are you really repping and what are you trying to fold out? mehhh, I can see you're kinda repping a flush, but mehhh, think he calls here a lot of times
  11. Folding here would be pretty exploitable, even tho it isn't something you need to worry about as much in the lower levels. What exactly is villain repping in his range by raising here? He 3bets a decent amount of his stronger king type hands (KT+, etc.). With that, he can't have 2 pair, he can't have a set...MAYBEEEEE 66, but I doubt he raises flop. He could have a QXss type hand, but I still like the lower variance play by just flatting. When we just call here, we aren't leading turns, even if it is a 2 or a K. The reason for that is we want villain to keep bluffing. If the 2s does hit t
  12. meh, ya. I don't like the fold here. Call flop and at least evaluate the turn. Most likely call there as well depending on what hits. what are villains stats? history?
  13. lol at ever considering folding AK
  14. ya, i mean obviously you're gonna have to change value/bluff ranges v players you play w/ a lot who might keep realize what you are doing. I think with the basis of the question is someone who is looking for river value v villains at a local casino or card room, who are never good enough to bluff-raise the river. Gadjet, the bet/folding for value is usually the best way to get value. One, villains can think we are bluffing at a good card and will pay off w/ lessor holdings. Another reason, is that when we check the river when a draw card comes in, we can lose value to weaker hands that
