  1. lol. I thought that, but b/c I'm new to the forum, I didn't want to get labeled or something
  2. I think you have to realize that in a college home game, that many of the players don't know how to do the casino shuffle (in my game, that is the only way I shuffle and they thought it was weird). So when you do the normal shuffle/bridge, it is easier to see the cards.I want the bet to be that someone shuffles normal or even casino and see if you can tell that there is coolering going on there
  3. I definitely want in on that action. It isn't hard to tell while someone is shuffling that something is going on. Shouldn't take 30 seconds to shuffle a deck. Especially when the hand plays out perfectly like flopping a straight and then someone hits a boat and it just happens to be the person dealing. Put 2 and 2 togetherHave to agree with mhoward on this oneThough punching people in the face seems like a good fit to this situation
  4. Yeeeaaahhh...eff shady games. I definitely wouldn't play there anymore. And if you do decide to play again, I would definitely call them out on it in the process
  5. I have been playing poker for about 7 years now. Definitely a lot more seriously in the past 4 years. I am a college student and a friend I have hosts a cash game (.25/.50 NLHE) once a week. I do fairly well in those all the time. When I am home from college, I am a regular at Windsor Casino (seeing that I'm not old enough for Casinos around me), playing 1/2 NL, and I do fairly well there as well. I have a small bankroll now b/c of paying for college and everything and started playing online poker (deposited $50 b/c I know you can play micro limits), I built up my bankroll to about $125 in a w
  6. mhowDefinitely the thought process I was going with, but thats just me
  7. Yeah, definitely have to say either option 2 or 3. 2 would be good b/c if you do well in either event, you can definitely buyin to the ME. Plus, on top of that, there are still going to be crazy side games, which will be very profitable during this time. I mean seriously, that close to the ME, how can you not find a good side game? B)
  8. They agreed. Don't really see too much of a problem. Their money, but who knows
  9. Classic. But yeah, the min raise is just telling the 9 4 to come into the pot, make a standard raise there...that is probably the only advice for that hand. Plus, if you make a standard raise, he may think you are just trying to buy the blind and, hopefully, make a play at the pot by reraising, and then you are in a better spot. But really, standard raise.
  10. haha. I have had a very similar hand like that one, and someone called me lucky. Gets me every time
  11. Wow. I was in shock when I read this. RIP Chip Reese, you will be missed by your everyone; your family, friends, and the whole poker community
  12. Well said. Thats about all I can say about that. Well one more thing about the first post on this topic. I just would like to assume that a player such as Daniel has most likely tried many different styles of play over the years to find one that works
