  1. On the information given its an unquestionable fold. What hands is k7 even money with let alone a favourite.
  2. You didn't say what cards came on the turn and river.
  3. He seems stupid enough so go ahead and bet $3-3.50, he looks as though he will pay anything in any case.
  4. Well all you can take from this is that you still made the correct plays and in the long run you will still make profit. The guy who was calling a 4xBB raise with a 10 -7 from middle position and then going all-in on a draw will not make profit but just lucked out on you unfortunately. He obviously does not understand odds.
  5. You just got unlucky that the blind disconnected (unless it was his buddy earning him 7th place). When you are the short stack you have to push with hands such as jacks.
  6. Well sorry for answering the question correctly but i've been on this forum for less than 2 days so how was i supposed to understand this joke?
  7. To work out a rough calculation of river odds - Your opponents number of outs (in this case 3) multiplied by 2. This gives a rought estimate of 6% but I think it is slightly higher as posted above. Use this formula whilst you are playing though.
  8. I think it's irrelevent of was it a bad call, I think you just got yourself into a bad situation by raising on a small pair with 2 limpers in front of you. I think the correct play would have been to limp aswell as then on the flop you do not have 800 chips committed to the pot when this guy who goes all in could well be holding and A6.
  9. The mistake was to re-raise him all-in instead of just calling the 0.50
  10. Nice prediction, England lost 5-0
  11. I would stay at the current level until your bankroll is in the region of $100
  12. David Williams was banned from that game for one year for folding the corner of a certain card so he knew which one it is. I've heard there is a decent amount of money to be won from this game but it's not really that big in england. It's strictly nerds only aswell.
  13. Your comment is wrong, he has more chips than the other player in front of him. Secondly he must know somebody has already made a flush as it has gone raise, re-raise and he has called on 7 outs for ALL of his chips. There was no logic behind this play unless the guy knows he was the worst player at the table and thought this was his only chance to win.
  14. I think i've seen that hand before and Hellmuth had an Ace-King or Ace-Queen. Unless you are talking about a different hand I would have to disagree as I thought DN got lucky against Hellmuth and won the pot purely because his 10 kicker made 2 pair and hellmuths Q or K didn't. I think this hand I am talking about was on high stakes poker.(if it is the same one)
  15. Although it was the correct play in this situation. All - in with a jack queen ? I mean it is a bad beat but how many hands is jack queen beating pre-flop?
  16. I would certainly recommend Harrington and Sklansky's books. Harrington books are very easy to read and Sklansky goes into tremendous depth and although sometimes his work seems a little out of date you can still take some very interesting information from his theories and thoughts not only on poker but how to make money in general.Sklansky is more of a tournament strategist than how to play hand A vs hand B in a certain situation.
