Tough Spot With A Set
Roberts2003 replied to Willing 2 Die's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
i havnt played enough live poker at casinos yet, but from my limited experience, its usually a good idea to just call with JJ preflop here, especially if its full ring. if you dont think you can play post flop well, then reraising preflop is probably better.on this hand, either raise flop or raise turn if you called flop. def dont call again with 1 card to come. -
Guy is noatiana, the biggest fish on Full Tilt at the high stakes. Galfond is OMGClayAiken, and is considered one of the best high stakes NL players on Full Tilt.
-
the IP of Full Tilt is blocked. I went and demanded answers from the company and they ranted back to me how bad gambling was blah blah blah, and then told me how no one can play in Italy.

I have seen this on 2 plus 2 and i think its a really great idea. I am going to copy and paste the instructions on that thread here. Here it is.Basically, if u have a thread saved (or know where to find it) that was instrumental in your development as a NL player, or just think it was a great thread, plz post it here.also, if there is a thread that u remember being great but the search function is being difficult, post the summary of it here and maybe someone has it saved as a favorite or knows how to find it.I think this could turn out really good. I will post some when I get a chance, abo

i think it really just depends on how serious you want poker to be for you. if its a hobby and no more, then theres nothing wrong with this as long as you are okay with losing all of it. however if you are treating poker seriously, i just dont agree with playing outside of your bankroll. bankroll management will always be the most important thing to building a roll online, and is why so many decent players progress and why so many talented players fail. I see it first hand with some of my friends who are excellent live, but dont have the patience to build online and sit with all of it in 1

i havnt played since the 17th, and i swear to god that im about to lose my mind. im in italy now and apparently, online gambling is illegal here. Basically, I have learned three things since I have been here in Italy.1.) Italy is so so sick2.) Italian women are wayyy better looking3.) I have a gambling addictionhaha, i am here for another week. i hope my stomach doesnt explode from withdrawal before then.

you are usually beat in this spot, only hands you beat are 98 spades or JJ or QQ. also, donking the turn is awful in this hand. if you arnt going to 3 bet the flop, then check call or check raise the turn.

Ladies On An A High Flop = Shovel?
Roberts2003 replied to No_Neck's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
i usually CR AI on flops like these. but yeah, these spots suck in general and theres a good chance he has AQ, AJ, A10. -
i think you have to almost always raise this hand preflop as well as most hands. if you were setting up the hand to slowplay, then calling the flop is perfectly fine. the turn really is player dependent, so no one here can really say if its good or bad to call. can easily be an overpair sometimes, or can be a draw, or can be air. just really depends on player.

Bluffing With 6 High, God I Love This Game
Roberts2003 replied to Ricer98's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
in this spot the villain usually has 10 10 to KK here. i have learned through experience that its usually not a good idea to make an unknown opponent fold that kind of hand here, so a bluff in this spot usually sucks. -
yeah i agree with others, fold here. this is AA sooo often here.

haha chris fergusonand i am going through the worst ****ing withdrawal ever right now. im in italy which bans poker across the country, so i havnt played since the 17th. my stomach might explode soon from the lack of action.

I have had a great October overall. I have made around $51,600, and now I am going to go to Italy for 3 weeks and not play any poker at all, as I think I need a break from playing. Will be back in early November. GL everyone.

Anything I Can Do To Go Broke On This Hand?
Roberts2003 replied to LocutusOfOrc's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
i would raise more on the flop, and when he 3 bets you on the flop, he almost always has a big pair and you can just shove and be called every time here. -
How To Combat The Lagiest Game In History
Roberts2003 replied to Sheiky's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
if you feel confident in your own play and your reading abilities, then you don't have to submit yourself to this kind of thinking. however, if you are a beginning player, then this is the way to go. hey, if Hellmuth made 20 million off his reading abilities, why cant you as well?!?! -

Need Help With This Hand * Aa *
Roberts2003 replied to Chaserjim's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
if you are going to limp raise, you should put in a much larger reraise then you did. and in this kind of hand, you have to bet the flop to promote action, the villain can easily check raise you on a bluff, because he is thinking you wouldn't fastplay a hand. -
you gotta bet turn hard if you are going to play the flop that psycho.
-
yeah CRAI seems money here. big time money.

How To Combat The Lagiest Game In History
Roberts2003 replied to Sheiky's topic in No Limit Texas Hold'em Cash Games
i read somewhere that Barry Greenstein recommends playing a much looser style if this situation occurs, which is different then the conventional recommended method of tightening up. since he is a genius, i would suggest that. -
i still have no idea what any of the symbols mean, and really only use it to track myself. maybe i should learn what they mean so i can try harder to not go on 20 thousand dollar downswings.
