While I am not gonna say that you didnt watch all that basketball for all those years, stating that you think the Spurs were favored by the refs more then any other team for a decade is the classic kind of declaration that isn't supposed to be challenged. Obviously we aren't going to go back and watch 800 NBA season games (or maybe not haha). But I think its a huge cope out in a way to state that. I have watched a lot of NBA basketball since around 1998 for whats it worth. Of course there are biased refs, i never said there were not lol. Thats a good subtle dinger at the end too haha, gotta hand you that one. I guess there is no point at all, or really until around conference finals time, to argue over who is better. And by the way, all those regular season games that cheating happened to benefit the Spurs, I mean there's a whole lot of regular season games, 82! Enough almost that it seems even if cheating did happen to them or anyone else that was great, they might somehow still make the playoffs since half of each freaking conference makes the playoffs. So once we get past that simple point, we come to the accusation you made that the Spurs are also the most favored team in the playoffs over the last decade. Really? Give me specific examples of exactly what you are talking about, I watched every Spurs playoffs and other playoff series since around 1999, and remember what happened to them each playoff year since, and am very curious to hear your examples.I'm talking the day in day our regular season games and a lot of the playoffs over the last decade. I watch a lot more basketball than the playoffs and the Spurs and Duncan in particular were favored by the refs probably more than any other team over that period of time.Anybody who disputes that the refs aren't biased is either lying to themselves or doesn't watch basketball with a critical eye.I do agree that the Spurs could be the 2nd best team in the West this year. -
haha damn, CR AI on river would have been sexy against himWhile we're bumping old threads, the villain in this hand is actually FoxwoodsFiend but I didn't know it at the time. -
Ill bet a bunch with someone that the Spurs are gonna win the NBA Championship this year.

What are you talking about? Refs cheating for the Spurs? What? If anyone remembers the 2008 Westerin Finals, the lakers were CLEARLY favored by the refs. If you are talking about the 2007 Western Finals against the Suns and how there were suspensions on the Suns for players leaving the bench, then that is not the refs fault, that is the assistant coaches fault for not keeping their mind in the game and knowing to control their players.ALL superstars whine, and if they dont, they could, easily. I saw Lebron James courtside this year in Philly and he literally yelled "HEY" to the ref every single time he got touched on offense, not fouled, touched. There were several Philly fans making fun of him which was hilarious, but the point is, if you are a superstar, you are allowed to whine. And yeah, some people are more obvious about it then others. Just because Tim Duncan has a simple facial expression that rubs people the wrong way, that doesn't make him a bigger whiner then someone who smiles all the time then bitches to the refs.Spurs are the 2nd best team this year in my opinion. I concede the lakers are more talented and are the best overall team, but I am gonna bet to the end that the Spurs will win the championship this year, or lose my left leg in the process. And I love the Celts too, im originally from Boston, i just think if Spurs get to Finals, theres no way in hell they lose. Wow, what a sick upcoming Western Conference Finals (barring a huge injury). SPURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRS.Forgot about him. He was a steal where they got him as he has lottery talent but teams were concerned about his health. He's always been a huge whiner and I guess it really got to me when he was whining so much while the refs were cheating for him and the Spurs more than any other team. Now that it seems the refs are no longer cheating as much for them his whining is off the charts. -
Yeah I remember back in 2006 the 100 200 an 200 400 NL 6 max games ran non stop on Full Tilt, and i used to watch that all the time and try to figure out what everyone was doing. to relate that to now, i would say watch the 40 80 deep games that run alot lately, almost eveyr player in that game is in the top category of NL cash pros. It's been a while but were you the one who said that when you were first starting out you used to watch and study the high stakes games for hours upon hours? Was that one of your key study methods when you were first starting out? What are you up to now?Welcome back. Hope you stick around. -
trying to man, fewer donks around then the good ole days of 2007 though.still making a shit load of money? -
Are the shit. NBA Champs this year if everyone stays healthy.

im up a little over 15 grand so far over 2522 hands. determined to keep grinding, hopefully big things are in store, havnt had a big month since 2007 really.
-
I had a sweet finish to the month, and ended up around 31 grand in a little less then 9K hands. I am gonna try to play at least 13 to 15 thousand hands this month, hopefully things will work out in that department.
-
i played twice in the first 3 days this month, won 4 grand the 1st time, lost 13 grand the 2nd time, then didn't play until I got back to England on the 13th. Since then I have won 32 grand, so up 23 grand for the month. I am in Spain until early June, so I dunno how many more hands I will get in, but im really happy I got back on track. This seems obvious, but playing in a quiet apartment with great internet service>>>>>>>>playing in a loud fraternity house with terrible internet service. time to hit the beach oh and by the way, I have been to England, France, Italy and Spain the last year, and I am pretty sure the hottest girls are in Spain. Makes me kind of angry at myself that I slacked off in Spanish class all these years haha. Later everyone.

It honestly makes me feel like a robot or something inhumane, the way I just shrug every other day that I lost 5 to 10 grand. Like seriously, I feel like I have aged 10 years just cause of poker and its stupid ****ing swings. I am out and going to sleep, then the plan is to wake up and run bad and lose more money. Yeah that sounds like a realistic plan of events. This will probably look way over the top when i look at it later in a better mindset. W/e Strong 9 out.

hmm wow havnt posted here in a while. April was kind of a weird month, was considering taking a long break from poker mid way through the month and did for a few days. I had a good finish to the month though and ended up around 40 grand which includes some live 2 5 NL ownage. Goals for May are:-get back in great shape-figure out classes for the fall-maybe some FTOPS events-10 thousand hands-play well
-
You are pretty much correct when you say this.PS I am also drunk, and very high so I AM way offmeh....at first I thought this was a sicko kenny call....then I thought what is he afraid of? I don't know how you play, or how you've been playing but 64 or 63 seem like the only hands that beat him, I don't know if you c/r those though. Also, kenny doesn't seem to like the fold option. And also, that is actually a pretty sick Vbet, the call is more standard than the V-bet imo. PS I'm drunk so I might be way off. -

I had a good March and won 48 grand. Hopefully in April I can:-play at least 15K hands-play a few DS 6 max tournaments-continue to try and play as well as I possibly can every time

He just had a big tendency to donk out with nothing, as I called a few down and other times raised the flop and he quickly folded. I was pretty sure he was going to try and 3 bet bluff the flop before I raised, so shoving the flop seemed almost necessary. Usually during bluffs I am a bit nervous depending on how big the pot is, but on this hand, I was strangely very calm when it was on him after I made the 4th raise, and was pretty sure that he would fold haha. I'm sure sometimes this kind of play backfires huge, but hey, it didn't their, so thats whats important right??Was he not flatting with an ace preflop? Did you think he had a set or nothing? It's a pretty dry board. What was your thought process? -

Hey guys. I was wondering what your thoughts are about the pros/cons of sunglasses to no sunglasses are in live poker, specifically tournament live poker. And I guess on that topic, yay or nay on I Pod usage?P.S. This website/forum is great, it really is. Thank you DN for being the innovator way back when.
