Me after raking a pot live in detroit.. I had AA and he had 55 and it was set over set, AI post flop.Him - "So whats your secret to being an aggro donk?"Me - "Donk? I raised preflop with Aces, you called. I flopped a set, and got all my money in with you drawing nearly dead. You were 18% to win pre flop, and 1% to win after the flop. How could you say that I'm a donk?"Him - "You raised with Aces preflop, any good player knows that aces lose when you raise with them pre flop..."

the real question gary, is, what were your results?If you lost, shame on you......If you won, then theres some secrets i don't know about drinking......

I love Smash's quote here. It applies perfectly.When I was going to school in Florida, at DBCC, I used to play at the dogtrack there. $2/$2 LHE with a $5 rake per hand. It was gross. But I learned to beat the game because I figured out a couple of basic principals apply to those games, and other low limit games.1) Never play short. Swings will happen, you have to have at least 12 big bets in front of you at all times, in case you play a capped pot. You want maximum value. I never walked in there without at least $200 to play. If you lose 100BB, either its not your day, or you suck.2) L

Easy Fold.You can't win the tourney with this call.But you sure can short yourself and lose it.Fold, and pick a better spot.

maybe its just me, but I like to play these for all my chips. Get it all in on the check raise.But then again, maybe thats why my ROI sucks. I just don't like raising, then folding if i U/I.

Thats a great statement.When im that short, I like to push any broadways, along with any ace and any K. If I've got around 10BB, and so does everyone else, pushing makes sense because what happens if I raise 5bb preflop, get 3 callers, and the flop comes A high? i can't fold to a bet. So I lose, knowing i played the hand like Tiffany Williamson.And that, my friends, is scary.
