Preflop: The initial raise I would make much bigger then $2, probably around $3-3.5. The CO min-raise, especially in position, could be anything against a weak raise, so I'm not a stranger to put in another raise. A raise to $16ish is reasonable. If then the CO shoves, we would be getting about 3.3-1, easy call. If the button shoves, we would be getting about 2.1-1. Tempting, but I probably fold. If the CO shoves and the button calls, I'm quitting the game and heading for the nearest bridge... swFlop: Do not lead flops weak OOP into 2 players, by betting 7 into the 12.5 pot. Well, this is just a tough spot and I agree that checking the flop, initially, seems like a no no. BUT, think one step futher. By leading this flop weak OOP, you open yourself up to get outplayed. What does his raise to 15 mean? We have no clue, villians raising range is probably very wide. If we just call their is a brazillion of cards that could come on the turn, making it almost impossible to continue with any clue where we stand. By C/C the flop you keep the pot smaller OOP. Yes, you might be giving him a free look at the turn, but I think it makes further streeets a little bit easier to

Im assuming that most players at this level mucks A2 or 67 OOP, when facing a raise? With that said, this for sure looks like a straight. But their is a few more likely holdings that you crush (33,44,55). And with the odds of: (36+97) / 77 = 1.72 - You can't really fold.

This is a tough spot and I think you can play it several diffrent ways. I would most of the time go for a check raise on the flop to $25-30. I prob call a shove, but it is kinda read dependent. . Sometimes I might also check-call the flop and check-shove the turn if a safe card comes off. Leading the flop weak isn't gonna do you any good. Villians raising range, on that flop, is super wide against a weak bet. But as played, I probobly check fold the turn. Qc is about the ugliest card that could come off.

Phil Gordon's mumbling comment after that, was funny too: "That's just wrong" And then the co-host starts tripping: "I...I...I don't quite know what to say..."NH Eric

I would recommend at least 20-25 max buyins for NLHE cash games. So I think you should keep grinding at the 0.05/0.10 until you get to 500-600 and then move up to 0.10/0.25....

4260 right now. Had to lay down QQ on the river on a 9 8 5 2 3 board when villian overbet the pot. He showed KK, I could easily gone broke there.EDIT: Up to 6k. Flopped a set with 10-8 and turned a full house, won a nice pot with that. Then I busted a shortstack with AK on a K 8 4 flop, he had K 10. -

I'm drunk so I'm not gonna play today. Hope that helps. GL.

Man, I'm still pissed. We should have won against russia today. We got the first goal and hit the post 3 times, before russia catch a lucky break and ties the game. With a better goalie then Jonas Enroth we would have won the game. I can't believe he got picked before Mattias Modig, who has had an excellent season with Lulea in the SEL. It's a disgrace. I think Canada will have a pretty easy game against Russia in the final, as long as they don't get to many penalties. Their PP is absolutely lethal.

I would never open limp with suited connectors in a 6 max game. But as played, the flop check raise is an excellent play, especially against a player that c-bets most flops.
