  4. Yeah, they aren't playing HU anymore. Benyamine, Baldwin and a couple of others are playing too...
  5. Zimba is reporting "live" in Brian's blog:"2 pm - Brian is off to a quick start and up 200k in the first 30 minutes. 2:55 pm - Brian continuing his good play and up 370k. 3:30 pm - Brian up 500k. 3:35 pm - Brian up 600k. 4:05 pm - Brian up 760k, Sammy has bust through what he brought and more, Sammy is considering getting more to continue play, but clearly frustrated."
  6. Erhm, if you read Aba's blog after the first session: "4 or 5 pots that were over 1/2 million dollars --- as well as about 15 200-500K pots " I'm giving up 20% for the 500k advantage, I think it's fair.
  7. Aba ended up winning 50k for the day, but he was stuck around 1,2 million at one point, so he made a huge comeback.Highlow: We end the bet when Brian writes in his blog that the overall match is over. I'll ship the money on preferably UB, but I can also do it on Tilt or Stars...
  8. Ok, this is my suggestion (Two separate bets):$50 on a 1-1 from now and on. (Not counting the 500k session)I'l give you $50 if Aba comes out ahead or you will give me $40 if Farha comes out ahead. (Counting the 500k session)
  9. Heads up PLO, the varience is huge, plus it's live (40 hands/hr) which equals a crapshoot, more or less.
  10. I think I like the fold if I don't have a read. You need about 42% equity to shove. If you think he could turn up with some small-middle pairs, or a AcXc sometimes, it gets closer, but not close enough to make a shove clearly ev+, as he prolly folds any hand that we beat (except the flushdraw) if we indeed shove...EDIT: The flop raise looks kinda weakish, which prolly makes it more likely for him to be on the move, but meh, I'm tight so I'm folding.
  11. OMFG, this could only happen to the Magic...But if he doesn't want to coach in Orlando, well, then he can fck right off. Bring in Stan Van Gundy.
  12. I make a isolation raise to $7 here 99% of the time.If I had AA or maybe KK, I would think about smooth calling, but I think raising, even with AA, should be the default play. The reason why I don't like smooth calling very often in this situation is that your raise doesn't have to be that strong. Why? It really looks like you are isolating a tilty short stack that probably lost a big pot recently (Basically, you are isolating dead money)So, if the SB or the BB is somewhat of a thinking player, the will probably acknowledge that and they will call your iso-raise, or maybe make another raise wit
  13. This is pretty read dependent. You are getting about 1.5-1 on the call, so you need about 40% equity against his range. So, if you think he shoves AA-JJ and AKs, you have about 42.5% equity. If you think he shoves QQ+,JdJs,JhJs,AsKs, you have about 30% equity.Against a very LAG-player, I would probably make a crying call here, but I think your default play should be to fold.

I figured, with villains high river af, that he could bluff a busted draw. At the same time, do I lose value against 10-x (or a weird AA,KK), if I don't bet/shove the river?

    The Gun Debate

I'm an outsider looking in, my $0.02 is:The sheer amount of weapons available in America, is absolutely terrifying.Because of that, availabillity becomes an issue. The amount of and the availability, basically creates an acceptance of guns (violence) All this, and more, creates a fear, that's creeping up in every corner in the Untied States of America. You can't trust your neighbour. And when you can't trust each other, well, then you need something to protect yourself...Flame away, I guess I'm just a stupid europeen anyways...
  17. You are getting about 2.5-1 on the call, so we need about 28-29%. If we put villain on a range of { AcAd, KdKs, QcQs, 9c9s, AdKd, AcQc } , we have 41-42% equity. If we take away the kings, we have 30%.So, it's pretty damn close. But I would lean towards folding, but it can't be a major leak to call either.
  18. Opps, forgot to add that in hand number four, co and mp1 was sitting out. That should change a little, I guess. How much chips to I need to make an ok resteal in tha situation? Or should I totally avoid it against big stacks?

  20. Calling preflop is perfectly fine, raising is good too. At 0.01/0.02 I would re-raise a greater precentage though. With odds in mind (you are getting 2.51/1.57 = 1.6-1) and the fact that you are a sizable fav, even against the tightest of ranges (AdAh,KK,QdQh,QdQs,QhQs), it makes this a no brainer call.
