half holdem ~ half omahai have to correct you here.2 card manilla is a game where you get 2 hole cards then the 1st board card is dealt out, then there is the 1st round of betting. then the second board card, round of betting, and so on until there are 5 board (community) cards out, and the final round of betting takes place after this 5th card is out there. the game is played with a reduced deck (7 up) and you must use both your hole cards combined with 3 from the board. At least these are the rules for standard 2 card manila cash games...several years ago this game was more popular than holde

nice work sounds like you are buying in directly...which events are you playing?

organising an FCP meet up would be cool.and yes brettski, we know who you are!any chance of getting DN in on this...I dont think there will be too many FCP'ers at crown so he wont have to cope with chatting to 500 people.
-
thanks DNA.i started an aussie millions thread yesterday, but this one seems better so my shiity one must have been deleted.
-
where has the aussie millions thread gone?

yeh i can get special rakeback deals as well while everyone is flogging themselves off. having said that, if you dont want me use kurt, he was here first.

shorthanded play is probably not the best way to start out.Sure, once you kno what you are doing it is easy pickings, but i think you understand the game better and more easily playing full ring.

in omaha high, all four cards being connected in some way. i.e A A 8 3 rainbow- not good multiway unless you make aces full.A K Q J double suited- much better.very superficial ill expand later.

play tight.Well sort of, biggest mistake holdem turn omaha players make is over valuing hands.

and who says there aren't donks at 10/20

it is a bad play in general, but in fact turned out to be the right play. this is results-oriented, but it is possible he knew that his call would get 2-3 more callers, given table conditions, thereby making it correct.you're right it's a mistake, but given table conditions, it might not be a terrible one IMO.he would have to be pretty certain that he would be getting plenty of callers behind him. I am inclined to say that if hewas on the button the play wouldnt be too bad, but from his position it is.But agreed, the table conditions may reduce the size of the mistake. -

the guy with 33 only made 1 mistake, albeit a pretty bad one, cold calling an UTG raiser with 3 3. The other guys, well, who knows. You should see the donks at 10/20 and 15/30 shorthanded (6max) games. They are everywhere.Just as a random statement i would say donks become much more scarce only at the 40/80 limits and above. -

You mean, paying 200k to win a million and take a commanding chip lead against a player who's hyper aggressive and makes a funny re-raise on the river? Not easy, but, I've seen tougher calls. He needs to win this just under 17% of the time to have it be profitable. He's wrong not to call, really.ok so you never sad its bad poker too fold, it is just wrong? lmao. -

After looking at this thread, your entire arguement was that its hard to call with A high in that spot, which nobody disagreed with you! Then you went on to flame Drawingdeadindm, after he explained WHY cassidy might call in that spot, who has contributed more to this forum over the weekend then you have since joining. Bottom line: Cassidy obviously realized that the last raise by Patrick Antonius (who is a very Uber-Aggressive player) was something fishy. He was getting 4:5:1 in a large pot. I think it was a tough one but a great call.I dont disagree with most of this. Firstly, you must be a -

I had a few friends that went to Australia for a semester. They came back talking about how great vegemite is. I tried it and almost puked. For three months they kept taking tiny bits from this one jar, until one night when we were hammered I interrogated them and found out that they actually hate it but it was the cool thing to eat in Australia so they pretended to like it.Good story?lol. I dont even eat vegemite, and im not sure that it is as big over here as you think it is. But still a nice story. -

I look at i and conclude that there are a huge combination of hands that has A 7 beat, and as such is a great call. You seem to think anything but a call is bad poker. You then make retarded comments like go eat vegemite. I am sure you are impressed with yourself. -
