  1. So excited! 3 of us are heading off to Las Vegas on the 8th. We're aiming to play poker pretty much constantly with the ocassional break for drinking. I suppose the plan is to play tournaments during the day at around the $100 buy in mark and hit the cash tables at night.Any of you guys have any tips of good tourneys / good cash games that we can play? All 3 of us have bankrolls of about $4000 for the whole 10 days. Obviously we're hoping to come back winners but that's what we're prepared to lose.In the cash games, we're probably looking more for no limit and personally I'd love to find a pot
  2. This is not an insult but if you need to ask the question about how much to buy in for, maybe you shouldn't be playing the game. You'll probably need to make the decision when you get there. I always buy in for at least 75 big blinds.I don't claim to be a pot limit holdem expert but do play in a live pot limit game. If it's anything like the one I play in, you might want to bring a couple of reloads in case you get unlucky but still feel like there's loads of value. Good luck
  3. HiI've just found a game running in my local area in England which is the wildest thing I've ever played. Really wanted some strategy advice. For those who don't know, pretty much all cash games in the UK are pot limit. This one is a round of Holdem then a round of Omaha with 2 equal £3 blinds. Also, any player has the preflop option of betting £10 as a 'live' blind meaning they buy preflop position AND have the option of reraising when action gets back to them. This option is taken virtually every hand so you never get to even see a flop for less than £10. I've played four 5 hour sesions and h
  4. Hi,This question has probably been asked a few times but I'm wonderinga) What an acceptable bankroll is for these? At the moment I'm 4 tabling the $6 pokerstars tournament but was to move up to the $16s. I currently have $700.B) How many you have to play until your sample size gives you an accurate return on investment %. I've played 100 and have a very healthly ROI of 29%Cheers in advance for any help.
  5. I remember Daniel talking about a game called Mille?Anyone know how to play it or am I going insane.
  6. Anyone got any practical help other than spelling advice? Thanks
  7. It's the original, correct spelling for what you know as a check. In the UK we like to overcomplicate things. Colour, flavour etcBasically the Queens English
  8. They ended up having to close the site for everyone not just North American players. I don't have neteller so just chose the cheque option.
  9. Hi,Anyone out there used to play on Pokershare? After they closed my account, I expected a cheque to arrive but nothing. They also don't seem to want to reply to my mails.Has anyone else had this problem, please help. btw I'm a UK player and they owe me $500
  10. Hello,Is it just me or is everyone on line raising 1 big blind in no limit games?I play on line a lot. As long as it's no limit, I'll play it. Tournaments, cash games, sit and gos, whatever.Everywhere I play people are raising 1 big blind. From any position and from what I can work out, with loads of different hands. You even see it after several players have limped in!Why? What's the point? It really annoys me.Can someone explain to me the benefits of doing this. You're not going to thin the field. More draws are going to be around. Please explain.
  11. In the casinos I play in this action would mean Aseem had already folded. What are the actual rules for this? I heard once Doyle Brunson had aces and 3 kings came down on the flop. The other guy went all in and Doyle flipped over his aces and studied the guy's reaction before calling.Just wondered
  12. Last night I played a £20 16 player NLHE freezout. Starting chips 5000. After some big ups and downs was heads up with me and another guy. Heads up play lasted exactly 1 hand and I lost. I would appreciate your opinions on how I played it.Blinds 1K - 2K. I have 32K chips he has 48K.I limp on the button with 5d 8d. I like to raise or limp with these sort of hands in heads up play.He checks, flop is Qs 9d 7d.He bets 4K (the pot)Assuming he has hit this flop but not in a big way. I raise all in with my flush draw and inside straight draw and he immediately calls. He looks at his cards and says dam
  13. Which site has the highest limit regular cash games? Not that I'm going to be playing them anytime soon.
