it depends on what type of poker you want to play...and whether you want to play cash games or tourneys...but MY recomendation would be to read up on on everything you can about small stakes and to invest $250 into a site...play $1/$2 LIMIT hold 'em...check out SSHE by sklanksy to read, this is the most Financially stabel I believe..... NL is too hard for your bankroll to handle... that or 10-handed sit and goes can be very profitable/stable.

yeah I agree it is important to hit the return button every once in a while... but seriously... it's nothing to get bent out of shape over... I really don't concentrate when I think of posting something... so I'm not gonna get all upset over the fact that this guy didn't check his spelling, punctuation, grammar etc etc etc... you have to worry about that enough when you're writing actual reports and papers and what-not....so when you go to post a light hearted story... well... it may have been my own fault.... I told him to play super-duper tight...which towards the ends of tourneys we all know you have to be aggressive... but I was just hoping that other people would make mistakes and go out before him or he would catch a rush of cards... but...oh well... there are more, and I know I'm very capable of winning more.

well you see the thing is....I work at a blockbuster video...so calling in sick on friday and saturday nights = looked down upon...and I've alread been requesting a lot of days off and calling in sick a lot the last couple weeks... so I didn't want to piss anyone off...I just had my little brother play the rest of the tourney for me... I left with 40 people remaining..and he finished in 15th.... not bad... only $75 bucks though... when I really feel like I could have finished in top 3 easily.

so I signed up for the freeroll on truepoker today and i thought it was supposed to start at about 1:00 central time...well turns out it started at 3:00 central time...there is a $5000 prize pool with the top 40 being paid.... currently there are 42 players left... and I am in the top 5 for chip position... BUTI have to leave for work in 10 minutes... how's that for suck?I guess I'll just get blinded of in about 25th-35th or something... but man... I have an awesome shot to take down over $1000 quick bucks and I have to leave.

no but as is the case with every other game that comes out on all three consoles it will be best on xbox...I'll probably pick it up for PSP though since it will be portable that way,.

the newbie freerolls are only $50 dollar prize pool, those numbers you posted are the percentages. so $25 for 1st, $15 for 2nd, and $10 for 3rd. still cool though.yeah I actually went to their site to verify this and when I looked up the newbie freerolls I saw they went down to that... I'm PRETTY sure that when I set up an account they were higher because when I started... I made $130 dollars before I even made a deposit.... soo they must have been higher than...but still a good chance to get $100 from the newbie tourneys and then work on clearing the bonus.... and it really is a good site

or maybe it's the fact that you can see 1000 hands in an hour and stuff like that happens....yes... it happens in REAL-LIVE poker too... you just don't see as many hands.... so since you see a lot more hands online you see a lot more crazy stuff happen.

I'm not 100% sure... I asked them if they checked the deck before we started playing and the girl said she had counted 52 cards but hadn't checked every card...so I guess another card must have been missing... probably one of the jacks.
