5 limpers, one of those being a massive calling station, you have straight and flush possibilities, a call isn't a bad move at all...

It could just be variance, or maybe you play diferent becuase you are more comfortable at home, or distracted (TV? Radio?). Also you might not see money the same becuase you aren't actually holding the chips.Just random shots in the dark...

Read some poker books...alot of poker books.First stop trying to read a player exactly, especilay when they have only made call preflop, all you can do is put them on a range of hands, and with only a preflop call, that range is going to be very big. You can't look at a flop and judge what hand they have, becuase they haven't acted yet... Think about what your doing before you do it...Also if you knew he was a tight plyaer this was an even worse move. Yea, the open push for 6x the pot was completly stupid. Betting 3/4ths the pot will get you the info you need, if he pushes you don't have to risk it on 1 pair with a nice stack.
