It's about 250$ unless you go crazy with the upgrades. Add nickel plated cup holders, a toke box, and a built in chip tray for the dealer and you can easily spend 500$. Of course you have a kick *** casino grade table when you are done.

If you have some basic wood working skills you can always just make your own. The plans are all over the net.http://www.homepokertourney.com/tables_build.htmYou can buy the felt and foam from http://www.pokersuppliesltd.com/ then all you need is a couple sheets of decent plywood and your all set.One of the tables I built.

If you have any woodworking skills at all you should build the tables yourself. It's not that hard, the plans are easy to find online.http://www.homepokertourney.com/tables_build.htmPic of my latest:

Any Worthwhile Instructional Dvd Recommendations?
TurboDog replied to Mikey Ravioli's topic in General Poker Forum
I guess my number one recommendation would be to read Harrington on Hold'em vol 1 and Sklanski's no limit hold'em theory and practice. If reading is out of the question Phil Gordon's DVD for tournaments or Daniel's DVD for cash games. However I really wouldn't recommend any of the DVD's I've seen unless you can get them for free and are somehow unable to read. -

Event 7 looks awful tempting. I almost never get a chance to play Omaha live. However it's a pretty long drive from Detroit.February 14Event #7No-Limit, 1/2 Hold 'Em - 1/2 Omaha High$300 Entry Fee + $40 Registration -
Ok, I Looked For The Post....pre Paid Visa For Deposit.

I picked up two cards from wallgreens. They were issued by "gift2go" http://www.gift2go.net . I was able to use one on Pokerstars and the other on FullTilt. -
http://www.pokerprophecy.com is close to what you are looking for. They keep some stats on players SNG performance. Not as good as real notes you take for yourself but can be a small help. If a guy has played 500 SNGs and cashes 40%+ of the time he is probably not a complete donk.

How To Deposit Funds For Online Poker In The Us
TurboDog replied to TurboDog's topic in General Poker Forum
The debit card from my bank has never worked. Looks like for now my best bet is to go to the local drug store and buy a visa gift card of some kind. -
So with the recent crack down on neteller I find myself wanting to play online poker again. I tried to sign up with click2pay but they are not accepting any new US customers. ePassport is taking my entire life to set up, most likely a problem with my bank who knows. One thing I am thinking about is simply driving over to Canada and opening a bank account. Has anybody else who lives close to the border tried this? What are other US players using currently? Thanks in advance for the suggestions.

I second what the CinciKid said. 1/2 NL game at your local card room is way softer than 1/2 online.

Try http://www.pokerwire.com they have excellent live updates.

They have 3 cameras covered in canvas bags sitting at the tables, and they are huge.

What Is The Best Way To Track Performance In Nl
TurboDog replied to silicon's topic in General Poker Forum
Trying to track the exact number of hands you play would be really hard unless you bring your own personal rainman with you. However you can get pretty close, B&M rooms usually deal 30-40 hands an hour. Just track your hours and you should be pretty close. I use the "Poker Analyst" which is free at cardplayer.com. For NL you will probably have to track your results for quite some time before you see any usefull trend data.Hope that helps. -
I usually play 1/2 NL, do they spread that there? Yeah I know I could just call them but my cell phone is dead. Also what are the good places to eat there? Thanks in advance.
-
yeah that'll stop the politicians in their tracksI couldn’t agree more. If poker players pool their resources and send a lobbyist to congress with a bag of bribe money, it will go a long way towards making poker legal(online and off). Or we could sit around bitching about it helplessly on a message board.

You are correct about the 1/2 NL 100 max game. The only down side is it's 6$ per half hour to play + 1$ per pot for the bad beat jackpot. The rake can be a real killer. They also have tournanments 100 person 125$ buyin. The only downside is they start at 10am. Yes that was AM not PM.

I play mostly online poker but recently I have started going to B&M Casinos. I live fairly close to the Detroit casinos and play at Greektown. The 1/2 NL game has a rake of 6$ per 30 minutes plus they pull 1$ per pot for the bad-beat jackpot. The max buy-in is 100$ at the table. That rake seems outrageously high to me, so I was wondering what do most B&M card rooms charge for 1/2 NL poker?

I agree that the lack of hole cams would be a bit lame.

The basic premise: A group of professional poker players would be given 1000$ and one week to build the largest bankroll possible. If they go broke they are out. The players can play online, or in BM casinos, or both. The players must use only the 1000$ starter bankroll provided. At the end of the week the player with the most money wins. Cool sponsor needed to provide kick ass prize.Film crews would follow the players around and film as much of their poker playing as possible. You would get a nice mix of card playing and some day in the life of a pro type stuff. Any additional ideas
