  4. February Goals:I have about $1400 in 20's stuffed in a sock in my underwear drawer. My goal for February is to stuff many more 20's into that sock. - I stuffed a few more in there and then took the whole wad to the bank.I'm hoping to be able to play live poker 2-3 times a week at some of the cardrooms here in New York, assuming my work schedule cooperates. - I did that, but the New York poker scene is becoming more and more miserable. However, no one here knows how to play mixed games, and there's a certain 10-20 HOE with a half kill that I wish would run every day. Beyond that, I've sus
  5. Well, let's start here: what names do you play on under party, stars, etc?I'm skeptical because someone who's played seriously for 3 years, and 1.5 seriously should have progressed past the stage where he posts on an internet message board that he earnestly believes he might be cursed online. Can you understand why?
  6. Eh... I just didn't want to get into a shouting match over this. But since it looks like one's started anyway, of course you're right. Stealing is bad. People who steal tend to be low scum with little respect for other people and a desire to take the path of least resistance. On the other hand, every single person has stolen something at some point in his life. Edit: Wait, I just remembered, in Monopoly you get $200 for a Bank Error in Your Favor. Maybe this is morally ambiguous?
  7. I don't think you were singled out personally, but you sure seemed to respond rather strongly. I'll refrain from passing moral judgment on you one way or the other, but the tenor of your response makes me think you do harbor some guilt over having done this.
  8. Wedding Crashers. Also...I got a fever... and the only prescription is more cowbell.
  9. I know this has been covered before, so my apologies, but I can't find anything specifically relevant to my issue... with the change in the way rake is calculated on Absolute I think I might be better off going with UB.However, I have a UB account in my name that I haven't used in over 2 years. I emailed rakebreak to see if I could find a way around this, but they told me the best I could do would be to open an account in a "friend's" name - but only if I hadn't previously installed UB on my computer. The problem is, I downloaded UB to check my old account to see whether there was any money
  10. Considering this article says Barney Frank is the Chairman of the SEC (Christopher Cox is the chairman, if anyone cares), I don't know if I would trust it as a reputable news source."There are still places US citizens are playing, and actually thriving, such as at Golden Casino and SuperSlots Casino, and Full Tilt Poker is doing better than they ever have. It is unknown, though, how long the success of these sites will last once the 270 grace period of the UIGEA is over come summer time."- Seriously... was this written by a child? How can anyone trust news from a site that posts articles with
  11. QFT. This place is absolutely amazing. Everyone should go there. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, try the steakhouse on the top floor of Binion's. The food is not going to be the best you've ever had - although it's definitely quality - but the place is totally old school, and if you go at night you get some unbelievable views of the Strip in the distance. Also, I really really like Cafe Lux at the Venetian. The food there is awesome and they give you a ton of it. Very good for a quick meal and close to the poker room.
  12. If you want New Yorkers to be nice to you, stop asking us where you can buy a bong in the Village just to look cool. It just makes you look annoying.Have you ever seen the neighborhoods outlying the Strip in Vegas? Crime in general is much worse in the LV area. AC just doesn't have an analog to Henderson and Summerlin in affluent suburbs of its own.
  13. Yeah... he shouldn't be saying "I have found" - these ideas go back way further than Phil Gordon. Also, good to see there are some genuine math geeks hiding in this forum. Come out into the light, fellas! I just bought Bill Chen's book and am looking forward to getting a view into how he sees the game.
  14. Biggest cash was a 3rd in a Stars 10r for like 6200. I haven't won an MTT in almost two years and that was back when I played on Bugsy's Club. My only Stars MTT win was in Stud H/L, back when no one who knew how to play it was playing online.
  15. I don't think he's been "dissapointing".
  16. Can you PM me some of the info? Or was the one you were talking about the one that shut down?
  17. Can one of the mods explain why we need to censor the word Di ck?
  18. Actually I was wondering this myself. I'm in Philly a lot and always looking for a place to play. If you hear anything let me know.
  19. He did. So for your viewing pleasure:http://youtube.com/watch?v=FpO7g9mLzlwI miss the 80's
  20. In addition to his three U.S. Amateur titles (decided by match play), he's also won the WGC Match Play Championship twice (2003, 2004). That pits him against the top 64 golfers in the world. And his record in international team play merits scrutiny only because his bar is set so high. Really, you could make the case that almost everyone on the American Ryder and President's Cup teams underwhelms, which is why the U.S. keeps losing these events. You had it right when you said he was the best golfer ever. In every field he enters he's far and away the favorite regardless of format.
  21. I wasn't sure whether this was an appropriate question to ask in Gen Strat or Tournaments - tournaments is mostly for posting hands I thought. Whatever. I'm sorry you thought nothing of my question though!
  22. You have to disable the motion sensor on the bomb outside the door. See that guy above's walkthrough for the details.
