Yeah they followed this story pretty frequently on Deadspin.com while it was playing out and it seemed to me like the motives behind the push were all about rewarding an everyman who worked hard. I'm not a big hockey fan, but I certainly didn't see anything sinister behind it.

I'm not an experienced limit player, so pardon my question. Would 3-betting the flop work here? With his check raise he's definitely going to lead the turn no matter what comes, so throwing out a 3-bet on the flop would seem to be a cheap way to get a little more information, costing only 1 small bet. On the other hand if we call the bet on the flop it means we're probably calling him down to the river, right?My next question: Let's say I 3-bet and he insta-caps, is it then a horrible play to fold?

In all seriousness, I think Chase Utley is going to win the NL MVP this season. His production will be double anyone else's at 2B. You can see the difference between an 8 and 12 team league as you were able to collect some good guys in later rounds. I like Lidge to bounce back from last year's subpar numbers (I think that Pujols HR in the NLCS legitimately messed his head up for all of last season).

Yeah - $161 per team and most of the guys take it really seriously. LOL at your comment on pitching. Last year I went way too pitching heavy and got killed on offense every week. This year I tried to scale it back some and concentrate on hitting. Sometimes with pitchers I just can't help myself - I see Zito and think he's going to kill in the NL and then I take him. I figure with Bonds I can use him when he plays and when he doesn't I can slot in one of the other guys. Hunter's production should be pretty close to what Barry will do, minus OBP.But yeah, I really love pitching. 2-1 game
