  1. congrats- moron. That post will no doubt be exhibit A in the lawsuit brought by Poker news against you and whatever site you are working for. statutoy damages will run in the thousands, and you can plan on spending close to another 50k or so in attorney's fees. why so you think cardplayer backed down. because their lawyers told them too! at this point, it would probably just be easier on you if tony g shanked yo *** in the parking lot, because he will no doubt have his c*** in there by years end.
  2. Dude-Tony G is from the streets. My guess is he is going to kick your ***, along with your two man crew. Your argument for cutting and pasting chip counts is absurd. Next year you should just record the super bowl and then immediately show it on your half baked poker site. I'm sure the NFL won't mind.
  3. Just because people think it is a ridiculous lawsuit doesn't mean that it is or that the denial of summary judgment is a positive step.
  4. That is defintely a given on all three. But back to Sklansky, the point would be that playing for huge stakes is not admirable for any rec golfer. I doubt it would be possible for DN to negotiate a certain amount of strokes that would give him a clear advantage over Ivey or anybody for that matter. So, at most he could be 50-50, which means that in Sklansky's world he shouldn't be betting so large. I think his hypothesis would also apply to 99.9% of poker players who have no clear advantage given their lack of skill at the tables. A group of individuals whom Sklansky has no doubt taken hund
  5. I agree. I think the thread Sklansky started is interesting and should be debated here and elsewhere. But why call out DN? And why imply that he is somehow a hipocret for having faith and a little gamble? On the bright side, maybe this will bring DN out of hiding and we can hear from him.
  6. I agree that the war in Vietnam is different that the war in Iraq, but the stay the course arguments used by the Johnson administration and the Bush administration are the same. Sunnis won't take over, they will just stop Shias from taking over. that is what "in check" means. The majority of Iraqi's wanted a US led occupation that can't protect them from mass suicide bombings and an impending civil war? right. You strike me as a typical, red state republican type. Loud, wrong, and of course, wrong.
  7. We can debate why we went to war and we can debate why we have lost this war, but the idea that we should stick around in Iraq until we get the job done is crazy. That is the EXACT SAME argument the US Govt. used in Vietnam when public opinion turned against the war. DN- please reexamine your position on this one. The country is already in chaos. Chaos in iraq will not spread to the rest of the world if we leave. The Sunni dominated ME countries have a vested interest in keeping a non-secular Iran/Iraq in check. Let's get the hell out of there and see what happends. No more american boys an
  8. Thanks!Long night and a rough morning. At least it is Friday. As for the Poker Brat, there is nothing worse than blowing a HUGE amount of money and having to tell your wife about it. I would say Phil losing 500k is like an average person (like me) losing a thousand. Not an average joe, but an average joe who likes to gamble. It hurts but it is not going to kill him. Thoughts?

  10. Sorry. Hellmuth on Tilt. Ivey took him for $500 k in Monte Carlo in Chinease.
  11. Looks like Ivery's to MC was profitable. http://www.pokerpages.com/blog-players/phil-hellmuth.htmtrip
  12. I think the answer is pretty obvious from an ethical/moral standpoint. Sucks having to give money back to the man, but....
  13. Tonya from the Chicago episodes of The Real World is now a porn star. That is so awesome.
  14. No, I think he decided to focus on hot dog eating contests
  15. There has been a lot of talk in the forums recently about Tunica, southern culture, etc. I thought some of y'all might be interested in this story about what Tunica County was like only 20 years ago. http://www.commercialappeal.com/mca/local/...5323029,00.htmlAlthough I guess there are some negatives, the gaming industry in my state has really been a saving grace to some of our poorest communities. Not to mention what gaming is doing and will do for the Mississippi Gulf Coast as it struggles to rebuild after Katrina.
  16. What is the deal with Tao of Poker's allusion to Spaceman and his comments about DN?http://taopoker.blogspot.com/
  17. I think you are missing the point, bro. These dudes may not qualify under the contract for the benefits they are asking for. I'm not playing the lawyer card, but I can tell you from personal experience that disability applicants can find doctors to say anything they want. It is very, very hard to qualify for permanent disability benefits under a pension plan. You basically have to show that you cannot work at all. In a moral sense you are correct, it sucks that these dudes can't get full disability benefits, but to say the NFL is in violation of the contract is simply wrong. Certainly no jud
  18. Benefits flowing from a pension plan are based on years worked and amount made while working. DN seems to be advocating a plan whereby disablity payments are made to all players who are injured and cannot work regardless of years in the league. The idea behind a pension plan is that it is self sustaining. In order to make that work, you have to have strict requirements on who gets benefits. Simply making payments to those who "need held" is not feasible in the long run. The pension plan would go broke. Now, that is not to say that the NFL is not capable of taking care of these dudes. I just
  19. I guess I mean cheaters in the "sports" world. And specifically money. Directly. In relation to the "crime" on PP, I think it was a fair and swift punishment. As for the shadow question, I don't think anyone in the poker public will forget. I heard Phil Gordon say on his ESPN show that he never wanted ZJ on his show no matter what. That seems like a pretty harsh stance given the kid's age.
  20. According to the earlier Bluff article back in '04 (I think) there were a few situation were Zee found himself at the same table with his "other" player. I think he tried someway or the other to lesson the advantage, but it still seems pretty unfair. In any event, I thought his quote about the importance of being ethical even in the "gray areas" was a very smart and mature comment. He was and still is a very young person, who obviously made a very bad mistake. It would seem that he has paid a big price for his actions, including 100,000 FROM HIS PP ACCOUNT. I don't know too many other chea
